Random thoughts thread

My other random thought is that it's moving day today and this weekend in Ames. Be careful out there.

Yeah - we've been missing lab rats left & right. Two days here, two days there...one of the girls bribed two of the guys with pizza, to help her move her big bed & couch & dresser to the next building over. Can't say I blame her, though...she's about 4'10"...if she breaks 90 lbs she has rocks in her pockets.

But what about how many times he's tucked himself into the fetal position in the corner of the room, rocking himself back and forth just repeating "no, no, no, no, no, no, no......"?

He's got 11 inches on me. Nobody needs to worry about poor DH, lol.

She's getting more bold with walking and holding furniture. She sometimes considers going handless, but won't quite do it. She's got the climbing concept down, just is sad when some things are still to high to climb.

awwwwwwwwwwww that sounds adorable.

Yeah, that's an interesting time. It's almost like you can see their brain register that there is this concept of moving themselves to somewhere or something they want, but they then decide it's out of their comfort level and then sad times come.

And now I'm sitting here a little sad-ish that my youngest is beyond some of those fun stages, and there will be no more (barring a medical oops or miracle). And the fact that I am means I need to stop hanging out in this thread...y'all are turning me into a chick.

sweet. There's a cake and ice cream thing today for some person who's been here forever. Recently they've been getting cakes from a place that makes that terrible whipped topping. So I've been going cake-less and assumed the same for today. Hy-Vee just pulled up today and I'm like oooooo free leftovers?

Nope. It's cake. Sweet. Hy-vee cake is acceptable.

I think you're into different types of fun things though. The actual talking and interacting with and to them instead of making up conversations.

True, which is why I said you gals are turning me into a chick. Dude guy thinks of that and says "Yeah, but he is starting to say 'I Wuv Youuuuu' now, so that's fun too", but chick guy laments not having babies.

Posting pictures of your children is frowned upon here. Sorry!

Yeah, I know...but the gramma in me loves to see those little wigglers when they are just learning to walk & talk & feed themselves - everything is a brand new experience for them until they get a little older, and are bored by everything.

Ignore me. I'm just whining. :)
