In this day and age how can people be so clueless about BASIC pc concepts?

How is the concept of right click and send to desktop such a difficult concept to master?

I had to teach someone with a Master's how to copy and paste in Excel.

THEN, after we learned that, a week later I had to show them how to select cells in Excel to copy them. Don't ask. I don't even know how that regression happened. They still knew how to copy and paste, but when I just wanted them to copy something, it all went to hell.

Turn around three times and spit! This thread has been Rumplestiltskin free for the most part and you're inviting him in!
I actually don't mind him for the most part. If he would just learn to read the entire thread before posting, he would be easier to stomach. He just goes through a thread and replies to one post after another and plods his way through. That's why he ends up with 5 or 6 posts in a row.

I used to talk with him on CBS sportsline back in the day. He actually has a lot of basketball knowledge and would enrage Missouri fans, so I appreciated that. Just ignore him when he gets too KU-ey.

you are totally in the clear it sounds like then. How is the wedding going? No crazy exes show up to stop it?

No crazy exes but there was a little five-ish year old kid making really loud bird calls the entire time. Very entertaining.

Hearing turkey calls in the middle of a wedding ceremony was definitely a life changing experience.

isn't her birthday soon? Are you guys having a party?

Soon, but not yet. We won't do a party per say. Probably just eat out with both sets of grandparents.

It seems like the cake thing is expected now a days... I'm not sure if I want her to have that or not. I was thinking maybe pancakes.

This stuff infuriates me. Just take your damn kid and quietly excuse yourself. I hate it when people just sit there and let it happen the whole time.

When does he NOT get too KU-ey? He has this knack for making everything about him or his team. Unlike some of the resident Hawkeye non-troll regulars, he has complete blinders on when it comes to his coach & team, and an inability to recognize that they are not perfect in every way. It gets real old, real fast. If I wanted to talk in depth about KU players (which I don't), I would go visit a KU board.

And I really do think he has a searchbot that notifies him whenever any combination of S..., KUMBB, his screen name or the nickname CF'ers have given him appear in a thread, because like clockwork, he posts shortly afterward.

I'd take him over 99 percent of the Hawkeye posters on this board.

When I baked the first cake, I took part of the batter and baked it in a custard cup, then inverted it over a plate & frosted the mini-cake. That one went to the birthday boy, to eat however he chose. The rest of the cake was frosted for the rest of us. :) First birthday parties are really more for the adults than the babies, because they really have no concept yet of what the fuss is all about. Hope you enjoy this milestone for little Z!
