Thanks! I always opened the thread first and hit last page.

I don't know how to break this to you.....but it's been like that for at least two years.

It doesn't take you to the last post though, just the last post that you've previously read in the thread, which I think is a much better function.

Oh, it was booming pretty good...dropped a lot more of that wet stuff on us. We're so saturated that anything that didn't pond in the low spots ran straight down through the woods to the creek across the low part of our acreage.

Quiet now, but still cloudy. If you're south of Cedar Rapids, it will probably skirt above you. The biggest stuff should be in Waterloo in a few minutes.

On the forums page why are some do some threads have blue envelopes by them and others have red? Also why are some of the envelopes open? I'm sure the answer is obvious, but I've been trying to figure it out and have no idea.

Somebody PLEASE answer this...because I've been wondering this myself.

and holy ****, we saw some fancy-*** homes yesterday. Who doesn't need a special wood fired oven just for making pizzas?

I mentioned in another thread how I like looking at "luxury" homes online. This would be the ready-made house I would buy if I won the Powerball.

'Course, this pales in comparison to the $24m house outside of Minneapolis I saw. Built in 1918...would be like the American version of Downton Abbey.

In Indianapolis there's a historic section of one of the main roads (Meridian Street) where it's huge houses and mansions for about a three mile stretch. One weekend a year you can pay like, 15 bucks and they do tours of a bunch of them. it's similar to an open house as you can come and go as you please, but also gives historical aspects. Cool to do, but also a bit depressing when I realize I'll never come close to affording a house like that.

The time keeping is just something you get used to. Also I don't understand the hate for ties. The NFL uses ties, college football used to use ties, and not all ties are created equal. If they had ties in college football and we tied Oklahoma down in Norman you don't think they would view that as a loss?

There are a lot of things I really like about soccer, but I can understand why people wouldn't like the sport. I don't don't think you'll get flamed, because you made an effort to try and like it. It just didn't happen and that's ok, not everyone is going to like every sport. I think the people who get flamed are those who give really stupid reasons for hating the sport, act like they're better men because they don't like it or go into soccer threads just to troll. I don't like nascar, golf, or baseball but I don't go into those threads looking to troll.

I understand winning and losing. I don't understand allowing ties.
I don't think it makes soccer a bad game, but it isn't an appealing aspect.

I like looking at some of these too. There are some for sale on Zillow right now in downtown Madison along the lake. Neighbors include the Governor's Mansion. Faaaaaaaaaancy.

I dunno...those houses always look so sterile to me. I mean, I recognize that they set them up for the pictures, but it just feels like it's a stage setting, not a home.

Maybe that's just me.

My entire year's house payments (PITI) don't even come close to just the taxes on this.
