I like what we have going on right now with 10 teams, but if we were to expand BYU would be tops on my list.

Per the article, it looks like all of the benefits to inviting them would accrue to BYU rather than being a mutually beneficial arrangement.

I've always dreamed of that BYU - West Virginia rivalry

The BYU vs Baylor tailgate would be off the hizzy!!!! Wild times! Have the National Guard at the ready!

BYU has been a name floated since the Big 8 expanded. It's never worked out so I don't expect it to work out now.

I think the BigXII missed their best chance for expansion when they didn't pickup Louisville. Louisville and BYU would have been 2 worthy additions. Now we are looking more at a scenario where if we picked up BYU we would also have to pick up an additional, less attractive school to make 12 schools. I can't think of any other quality schools out there (other that Notre Dame, but that ship has sailed).

I do agree that BYU has a pretty good market and could bring in some viewers/money to the table. They even have their own TV channel! However, scheduling would be a bit*h!

I would prefer to stay at 10 versus adding BYU. Being in the 3 time zones does not make sense.

Luckily Bowslby is not dumb enough to give them the deal ND got with the ACC. If he didn't give it to them, he is for sure not going to give it to BYU.

No doubt NYC is the bigger market but don't downplay the crazed Mormon population around this country, they're everywhere and really support BYU.

SMU the 12th?

No more Texas schools, please.

Honestly, I hope we stay at 10 for 100 years. But if we had to add members, time to poach from the SEC (that is, if their "14" member thing starts to wear thin), then go for Arkansas and LSU. Supposedly, LSUers have a big problem with SEC offices being so close to Bama, and have often been vocal about scheduling benefiting Bama. Use this dilemma to stir the pot and actually make them think about it. Arkansas has a lot of history with Texas and all those schools dating back to the SWC days. Plus, they really are in our neck of the woods, so travel makes sense as well. There's your play Big 12.

If we can't go big, then don't make a move at all.
