Recruit Lists v2.0

Monte's chances of going pro will be greatly affected by his ability to get his body right by his junior year. He needs to add a lot of muscle to be ready to get drafted. His skills are obviously there though. I don't see a hole in his game other than strength.

The thing is Morris COULD take over. Just like Hogue could(and did after Niangs injury), but didn't because the offense was formed around Kane, Niang, and Ejim. Morris just isn't a selfish player.. That's what you want in a PG.

I don't know if he has a body build to put on a ton of muscle. I think he needs to watch some tape of Shabazz to learn how to use your body to shield the defender and finish at the rim.

I'd like to turn pro right now, doesn't mean it's going to happen unfortunately.

No offense but Monte wanting to turn pro and you wanting to turn pro are on two totally different planets in terms of probability. One is entirely possible while the other is 100% impossible

You can put muscle on any type of body, and Monte certainly can. I'm not sure what you mean by that.

I agree with others saying that the only hole in his game is strength, but that can be dealt with. I think we saw what he can be during the NCAA tourney, he can score when he wants to. I've never seen a freshman be so comfortable on the court like that before. He's way beyond his years with his mental abilities, and he has the passing down. I think he stays for two more years and then I think it's a crap shoot.

Thanks for that, could have never come to that conclusion on my own. Truly, high level insight.

I doubt he goes pro early unless he is an absolute beast. Which if that is the case I will take him leaving early just fine because he would have taken us to some great places.

I guess if he was meaning "going pro" as going overseas to play then he could leave after his sophomore year. Monte played well this year, especially towards the end of the year. Some need to tone down the idea that he is leaving early for the NBA.

Yes, because college players always wait to enter until they are ready and are a lock to get drafted.

What was my first sentence? He can make himself eligible for the NBA draft all he wants, but he's going to be playing in Europe if he leaves early.

Keep coming across as a knowitall ****.

Okay, back to recruits. Why are we cooling on so many of the 2015 guys?!

It's definitely odd. I would think dropping contact with multiple high profile high school recruits would also make it easier for other teams to negatively recruit against ISU.
