Seth Davis on DP show

Re: Seth Greenberg on DP show

What is a ninny? And why do you keep using it?
I think it may be related to the Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins.

Instead of NBA talk, I am declaring this thread to be all about useless guys named Seth. In which case, Bald Useless Seth and Stephen A. took UConn, Skip took us, says from covering Fred in the NBA he thinks he is an offensive genius and will find a way and DeAndre will be better than Napier.

I know skip. Won't explain how. I like him.

I actually kind of love Skip, mostly because I am a Packers fan who isn't a Rodgers fan, and unlike most of the world, he isn't on the Rodgers slobberfest. Skip is sort of fascinating. I read an article about him where he comes into town and orders a bunch of chicken and broccoli to eat every night of the week. Who does that?

I have ZERO respect for Skip. I'd give him the shirt off my back, 'cause I'm a great guy, but then I'd **** all over him.

I can't stand Seth Davis, but this wasn't trolling.

he was asked specifically about it by Chris Mannix (guest hosting) who is an NBA guys. Neither Davis nor Mannix said Hoiberg would leave, in fact they specifically discussed how hard it would be to leave Ames. They both said the same thing: An NBA GM's first call would be to Hoiberg. We already knew that.

There wasn't anything negative or trolling about the interview at all.
Can I still want to punch him in the face? Seriously the dude has the most punchable face. If I met SD it would be a reaction to punch him in the face. Then in court I would tell the judge to look SD in the face, the judge would do a flying kick across the room into his face and then slam the gravel down yelling NOT GUILTY.

When SD is on TV look at his face but be careful and resist the urge to punch your TV.

I just don't ever see this happening. In my mind, a good college hoops coaching job is a better job to have than an NBA head coaching job. The proof is sitting right in front of us. Very few top tier coaches have left the college game to coach in the NBA, and there are even fewer that have succeeded at it. At that level, the extra money just isn't worth the grind, the stress, and the lack of stability. It is the same reason why I really wouldn't want to be the CEO of my company. It isn't that I don't think I have what it takes, but more an issue of I can make plenty of money with a lot less stress in other positions.

Its funny but people close to Fred that know and talk to the guy say he is happy in Ames, and would be content coaching in Ames for a long time. The school, town, and fans mean a lot to him. It also doesn't sound like his last NBA experience was a good one.

If you don't win in the NBA you get replaced fast. If you do win, you also get replaced if you have a bad year. If you are an Hall of Fame coach you walk away from the game and take breaks because it is such a grind. In the NCAA coaches do stay at schools for a long time if they have a proven track record.
