Re: Bubu back again

By extension, it may be reasonable to assume the Supreme Court’s denial of the motion for immediate stay implies they believe Diane Stale, President Leath and the Board of Regents did not actually exercise professional judgment in this matter. As a point of fact, courts have been reluctant to override academic decisions in the absence of significant evidence showing a failure to exercise professional judgment!

What if Bubu admitted to an explicit violation of the student code on those transcripts while defending himself from the other allegation, would Leath be expected to ignore it?

Off topic from the conversation you entered. The question revolved around HER credibility, not Bubu's.

Am I the only one who is kind of "whatever" about this? It seems like it is becoming a distraction for the team. I got into an argument with CycloneNation on twitter.
I just see this wearing on the team because the media is constantly asking about it.

Cant wait to see how the university responds to the supreme court rejection. Since in every single step they've managed to make themselves look stupid. What will they do now?

Now let's face that this has set a precident. Fred has no say who is on the team, the athlete runs the program now as it seems.

Wonder how this plays out. Does Fred have to play him or is that the next law suit?

Actually Fred does have a say and wants him on the team.

Re: More kindling for the Bubu dumpster fire...

Go back and look at this board and the thread about the bubu case when it came out. The board was overwhelmingly piling on Bubu (myself included) and the couple people that defended Bubu were chastised by all. Because of the information now known the fan base has flipped in favor of preserving the idea of justice and fairness. Now the couple people that don't care if Bubu is treated fairly are being chastised with good reason. I think you are having trouble disconnecting your own moral beliefs and the CoC and law. Nobody is asking for gladhanding wow. Your view is seriously distorted. Supreme court, district court, ALJ, prosecutors all a bunch of glad handers while Leath is standing up for Justice! Give me a break.
Yep, which is consistent with most of society automatically believing the woman in these situations.

Come on snowcraig, that treatment is only acceptable towards Bubu.

Sorry, my bad.

I guess Bubu deserves it, I mean, alcohol led to relations and he was involved. That should not happen during college.

Now, if you'll all excuse me, I have some old pictures from college to burn, er, I mean, file away.....

Somebody brought BVP into all of this? As if there weren't enough people with poor judgement involved already!

Re: Bubu back again

I wonder what new and interesting ways Leath and the BOR will find to further embarrass ISU and continue to drag everyone involved through the mud? What a complete and utter FUBAR. Usually someone stops after they get pelted in the face with the first egg, but they seem to enjoy it.

Easy, that is how all of this got started.....

Re: Bubu back again

I hope Bubu sits on the bench and taunts Leath the whole game.

I hope he doesn't. Bubu has actually been far more restrained than I would have been under similar circumstances. I'd hate to see him blow that now. Besides, just sitting there he will annoy some people. It will be interesting to see if the president is on his usual throne Saturday...

I am, I want the story to just die already. I haven't read any of this crap lately (well besides this thread as I wanted to find out if it's actually over).

Re: Bubu back again

Didn't the university have a bunch of high paid lawyers advising them through the process, and perhaps telling them to back off earlier? This crap could have been avoided.

Re: Bubu back again

Will Pollard continue his appeals? Maybe the US Supreme Court will agree to hear the case. :jimlad: Keep digging that hole Pollard/Leath.
