What will they sell next year?

I've had season tickets since 1975 and i bet I earn less than you do Erik. You either love this team and university and do your best to support it or you go follow something else.

If you make less than a grad student, you're doing it wrong.

Whatever.....I have a gif that was shot when Erik and Revkah thought no one was looking:

Our A.D. took a tremendous gamble by showing Coach Dan the door. The football program suffered a serious setback all because the A.D. was not confident Coach Dan could take ISU to the next level. This is not about the football coaches, the question is whether or not the A.D. should be held accountable for a gamble which is looking increasingly disastrous. The A.D. made a big picture move to take the football program to the next level and the big picture is not looking good. The problem is not the coaches--the problem is an A.D. who blew up a fragile football program only to leave the fans now wishing the program could be back to where it was when the A.D. declared "not good enough".

You've got a football program there in Denton, TX to worry about, Dan. Get off of CF and leave the passive-aggressive disgruntled, former employee posting to a true pro - BVDV.

Completely agree.

Receivers are not good yet. Get manhandled at the LOS, don't get separation, run sideline routes with no room to make a throw, don't always make the routine catch, almost never make the tough catch. I think our current crop of receivers has potential and are the best collection of athletes we've had in a long time, but they just aren't that good at playing the position yet.

What they wont get next year is a single dollar outta me. If Messingham is still here than my donations and buying tickets will stop. Sorry but I can go spends thousands of dollars else where on something more enjoyable. I give Wally a pass even though these last two weeks have been an utter joke defensively. We hate on Messingham but Wally has looked ******* clueless the last two games. He gets a pass because he has shown he has what it take to have great defenses even though are players are completely inferior to other teams.

Hats off to the marketing folks. They've done a great job filling seats. Messages of hope, one direction, Paul Rhoads' passion and energy, and rejuvenation really resonated with our fan base. Especially the casual fans...dare I say bandwagon fans?

But there's a problem. We're 1-5 and just suffered our worst defeat in many, many years, 71-7.

'What's left to sell?' is right. The Paul Rhoads era isn't new anymore. His being proud and passionate isn't saving us from losses to inferior opponents (Tulsa in the bowl, UNI this year...you see UNI has THREE losses?). We're not moving forward. We're taking a GIANT step back this year.

I hear a lot how we're a young team. But guess what? So are a lot of other teams. You see how many young guys Baylor had playing last night when the score got out of hand?

Bottom line, the marketing people can only do so much. Now it's time for the team to do their part on the field. That's what will sell this program moving forward.

This is a one-win half season, not a one-win full season. There is still good reason to think we will have 3-4 wins by the end of the season. Rather surprised and disappointed to see a meltdown thread started by Erik in the middle of a season.

The schedule gets EXTREMELY (like totally extremely) easier after tonight. I could see ISU winning 3 more games. We will sell a young team that will make obvious improvement from here on out.

Yes, it does. I certainly have hope that we can somehow get back on track this year. The UT and TT games still happened, and showed that we can be competitive against decent teams. A healthy offensive line (with a new coordinator) and a better group of playmakers than we have had in quite some time.
