Today's updates from Johnson and Abu, and what we've read about Cunningham recently back up what I heard from a good source a couple of months back.... That the staff is really confident that 2014 will materialize into a huge class for us.

I think there's a very good shot that it will become ISU's best ever.

Great to be involved with some of this talent. Can't wait for the day to beat out a program like Louisville for Johnson, for example. Or Abu, who has everyone practically on his list, etc. Getting to the point where no matter how excited we get for our recruiting, we still see Kansas , Ok State, and Baylor reeling in the elite talent. Here's to hoping we can pull in a couple of these top guys, yet I'm not setting myself up for heartbreak either. Finishing first on the recruit's list is the only thing that matters...coming in second, or making the top 5 list is so frustrating.

I just hope we don't finish 2nd on all our tier one targets.

I think ultimately it will come down to ISU and Okie State for Grandstaff. Travis Ford is paying well these days.

He's only a Jr-to-be. Plenty of time for bigger programs to get involved. While I sort of agree with you, look out for KU.
It is interesting that Roy or Bill or Mike spend a month or two recruiting a player when way late in the process and then get them committed. We have to spend years working with players.

Yep, I think we are sitting fine with the current offers. If KU or Duke offer, then I think we are in trouble. It would be nice if he were to commit early like Custer did. He doesn't seem interested in that though.

Just so everyone can get to know Jaylen Johnson more I saw an update that said he's now a legit 6'9" with a 7'4" wingspan and college coaches love his DEFENSE, rebounding, and ability to run the court most.

Not wanting to be a pessimist, but resisting getting overly excited...who on here really thinks we can beat out Louisville for this guy?

I thought he looked especially long in his Pangos mixtape. I hope we've put the work in we needed to over the past year + ...he'll be a blueblood if he wants to be.
