NBA: *** NBA Playoffs Thread V2.0 ***

ESPN made a mistake by the decision? (according to Stern) That apparently confirms that ESPN is Lebron's PR department.

I lost track. Did Hollins make 3, or are there more?

I've got Karl, Del Negro, and Hollins.

I think Hollins is 3 . . . I've had a hard time keeping up too. Hollins takes team to Conf finals and gets canned. Guy has mediocre talent and over achieved. IMO. Karl is just as bad after winning coach of the year.

Lots of people have conspiracy theories towards the NBA under Stern. Star players getting the star treatment by the refs, feel-good story teams winning the NBA lottery over teams with better odds, refs betting on games, etc.

I don't know how that will change under Silver since he is Stern's right hand man!

Hollins didn't actually get fired. He just wasn't resigned, he didn't get along with the front office in Memphis.

Two work stoppage and the Seattle-OKC-NO debacle are the lowlights of Stern's tenure in my opinion.

True but hopefully Silver will choose to be his own person.

Chances we get a 48 hour non stop media blitz over Duncan's big block and dive to save the ball?

Every sport has issues like that with work stoppages and debacles over teams moving. The NBA seems to be the only big American sport that has the issues with fans legitimately wondering if things are fixed sometimes or if star players are instructed to get star treatment, which are huge issues from a fan's perspective.

C'mon, don't hate. I'm pulling for the Spurs, but Lebron's block was easily one of the best I've ever seen. It deserved the attention it got.
