Also, I just tried the Tilapia for the first time the other night. Excellent addition.. The fish is like a sponge soaking up all the flavor.

hoisin, bean garlic, chili oil, and garlic oil

that's a good base for just about anything, and you can vary it from there.

Basically in the same boat as Janny with garlic oil, chili oil, and sesame oil, perhaps ginger as the basics, and work from there.

Went to HuHot for lunch today... Just wondering, what combination(s) of sauces do you get on your food when you go to HuHot?

For me, it's 1 Samurai Teriyaki + 1 Khan's Favorite + 2 Mongol Mustard + 1 Garlic Chili Sauce.

I've gotten that combo for as long as I can remember now and it hits the spot every time.

1 of the first two sauces. Those two are pretty much interchangeable.
That pepper sauce just down the line.
2 Mongol Mustard
2 Sweet Chili
1 more hot one--rotates through a few.

Amazing every time.

YUMMMMM

I tend to do a slightly sweet sauce. If my bowl is full I do two scoops of Samurai Teriyaki, Not so Sweet & Sour. Then I drain the ginger juice to get a about a teaspoon of actual ginger and add it. Then I do about a scoop of sesame oil.

While pregnant I tend to have mostly beef in my bowl with some Yakisoba noodles and some veggies.

That does sound like a delicious starter sauce for the ladies.

I know they like their Hu Hot sauces mild and non-threatening, and that's pretty much it. Oh also they're soft.

I usually make the pad thai recipe (which I think has two peppers??), but I add a little extra kick. So suck on that, sexist.

What a WIMP!!! Kung pao+ garlic oil+ hosien+ other hottest sauce+ kung pao. Then a little sweet chili at the table. You might as well be putting catsup on with that combination.

I suppose when you've eaten plenty of hot food your entire life and you've burned all of your tastebuds off, you need to slather on all the hot stuff for it to taste good. That's not the case for me tho! (Still, I agree the hot sauces they provide aren't very hot at all)
