Walking Dead

it seemed to me that Darryl repeatedly stabbed him because he was ****** that he wouldn't stay with him and i think he felt abandoned by Merle.

On talking dead they had teh Gov on there.... looked weird without his eye patch lol

for what its worth, this is what people are thinking is going to happen in the final:

The weaker members of prison will go to hershel's farm to hide out (hershel, glen, maggie, caro, judith, and beth) the fighters are going to abandon the prison and go take over woodbury

Ha ha, that would be awesome, but I wouldn't bet on it. It's obviously not going to go down like the comic though either. I will say though, seems like Tyrese's character so far has been a waste.

I missed parts of last night's episode- why is Michonne going back to the prison after they tried to sacrifice her?

Merle's redemption was a fitting way to see him go. He did the right thing for the first time in his life(or so I gathered from the dialogue) and sacrificed himself for the good of his brother and everyone else at the prison. I loved to hate Merle as much as the next guy but it was sad to see him go after he finally started showing a human side and not just his sleazey side.

Merle didn't sacrifice himself. The whole episode he was trying to find a way to escape reality (trying to find drugs at he prison). When Machonne was in the car he admitted to killing 16 people after he met the Governor. You could tell at that time he was having a hard time dealing with it. Merle went and committed suicide taking a few of the Governor's men and almost the Governor with him.

He could no longer go on knowing what he had done.

Well he may not have MEANT to sacrifice himself and I do agree completely with your point he was just struggling dealing without drugs with what he had done/become since meeting the governor. But whether it was his desired end or not, he did sacrifice his life for the benefit of the group.

And though it was sad as a viewer to watch Darryl watch him go/destroy zombie merle...it was probably the best possible scenario for the group at the prison, otherwise Merle would have just gone on in his cancerous ways and done something else to endanger the group later in the show.

We haven't seen the last of Tyrese yet. Something will happen that makes him turn on the Woodbury group. Maybe it will have to do with Milton, but he's going to get into it somehow.

The whole point of calling it a redemption story are all the hints characters were dropping, like Michonne's hints that a really evil person would see things differently than Merle. He'd wrecked his life with drugs and bad decisions, and that meant that there just wasn't a place for him in the two groups of people nearby.

Therefore, he went and redeemed himself by sniping away key people serving the Governor, and momentarily have the Governor in his sights. I don't think he was escaping anything. He was redeeming himself in the only way left to him.

walking dead has been dragging that showdown between camps out for WAY too long now. this past episode where merle got loose was at least decent at the end, but the 2-3 prior to that were pretty boring.

just kill the hell out of each other already people!

I disagree, it hasn't been too long. It's just been too boring. The build up has been done poorly.

I still don't understand why Michonne is going back to the prison. They just got done throwing her to the wolves.

Was it just me or did the kid from Tyrese's group get caught in the crossfire when Merle was aiming at tGovernor.
Was that him? I thought it was the asthma kid from Woodbury that Andrea tried to protect when the governor wanted everyone to get armed.
