Tulsa vs Fresno St got almost 55,000 in 2005 and I'm guessing FSU didn't bring the majority. I'm hoping Tulsa fans make the trip this year as well.
Looking at their bowl history, that was also their first bowl not including the one in boise that no one wants to go to, since 1991. That mightve helped drive up sales.
07- GMAC, vs Bowling Green- 36,932
08- GMAC, vs Ball State- 32,816
These bowls fall a little below typical attendance for this bowl, which in other years has been in the upper 30s from what i can see (it is now the godaddy.com bowl)
06, 11 armed forces bowl- given this is just down the road, this should be a slam dunk for attendance for them. Alas, their two trips there fall below the attendance i can find in the surrounding years by a good margin.
Hawaii in 2010 is their other bowl, but that's impossible to analyze. It seems to have 2 attendance levels. Low 30s if hawaii isnt in the bowl, about 40k if it is.
If anything i might suggest that their bowl history as a whole is a bit negative as far as attendance goes, but this is just a quick review.
