One-Hit Wonders

That may just prove its worthiness of one-hit right there.

Irony of sorts, I don't recall the titles to the others, either, unless I play the album and re-familiarize ... I don't revisit it very often (but dig it when I do).

Funny aside - a housemate of mine owned the CD, and at one point asked me if I wanted it. I was curious to hear the rest of the album ... I was pleasantly surprised. But he never let me play it when he was around! :laugh:

It's amazing how many talented people weren't recognized.

I hear "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" and "Lawyers, Guns and Money" on classic rock radio all the time. I don't know how you're defining hit (actual chart position, sales, etc) but those seem to be pretty well known songs among the general population.

The Knack had several other hits after My Sharona. The best, and IMHO much better than Sharona is Good Girls Don't (But I Do) Also, ? and the Mysterians had several hits after 96 Tears. Talking about covers, does this sound familiar (they actually covered the Toys version) [video=youtube;opMAr7awDJI]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opMAr7awDJI[/video]

Gerry Rafferty was the lead singer for Stealers Wheel I believe.
