To some extent, yes. But being on ESPN/ABC >>> FCS. Why? Because almost everyone looking to watch college football clicks on those channels first to see college football. ISU being on there gives recruits a reason to take a second look at ISU. PEDO U, yeah everyone knows that's who they are, but if they are on National easy access TV more, then a recruit is going to take that and remember it.
Hell, Conf. USA and the Mac should be ****** as well. They are probably playing better football than the B1G is as well.
Central Michigan was 144 in Sagarin. Louisiana Tech was 71. They won and blew out Big Ten opponents on the road respectively. The conference is a complete joke.
Someone needs to learn that no one outside of the state of Iowa gives 2 ***** about watching the MN, Iowa game. I live in the state of Minnesota and I don't think anyone here even realizes they play football at the college level.

Really? I would say most people don't understand their own leasing contracts they sign, let alone one involving TV rights. Please, enlighten us.
I think you overestimate the average fan's interest in reading legal documents that involve TV rights, let alone understanding them.
The general point is that these B1G teams aren't on ESPN or ESPN2 because they're good (which they certainly are not), they're on ESPN because of the honey TV deal ABC/ESPN has with the B1G.
I think Wreckdemtech is an Iowa fan.....I bet we have some whoppers from him over the course of the year. Each week with a different name. Cant wait for his new posting name he will create for each weeks games, since he has no relative football to watch going forward.

Not true. Their then 3-0 team finally sold out their 50,000 seat stadium. Of course they had to sell a whole boat load of special deal $10 tickets to do it.
