Hate for lolo?

so being from East St. Louis, and avoiding gang life and drugs, and committing to a dream, and being dirt poor and having no money and having to borrow shoes from other athletes to compete in the Olympics isn't as good as story?

There are plenty of good stories about athletes, many if not all athletes have to overcome injuries and or defeat at some point.

The only reason anyone gives a rat's *** about Lolo is she is hot and poses for seductive pictures, and then says "i'm a virgin" I am not a hater by any means, but the reality is, men pay attention to her for this reason, not her story.

Shhh...he doesn't want to read about that.

how about 4th in the olympics?

I wonder how some of the people in this thread would react if they were given 40 seconds every 4 years to "prove their worth."

I don’t have any hate for LoLo – nothing but love. However, I am extremely upset with the local media for not having more coverage on Lisa (Koll) Uhl, Jake Varner, Guor Marial, and Ian Warner. This is especially the case with Lisa (Koll) Uhl who was born and raised in Iowa and went to Iowa State.

P.S. – Lisa (Koll) Uhl is the hottest female athlete in the history of sport. Bar none.

Go Cyclones!!!

Yep. Be it a chicken sandwich selling restaurant, Tebow, Gabby Douglas, Lolo Jones, or former Miss America contestant Carrie Prejean regardless of your accomplishments; announce you are a practicing Christian and you will be immediately attacked with all venom and scorn available...

I disagree. Do the thing you quoted and pretend you are better than everyone else because of it, or tell everyone else how to live their lives because of it, and then you will, rightly so, be immediately attacked with all venom and scorn available.

Varner is from Bakersfield, Calif.

The Register would rather spend more time on Jenny (Simpson) Barringer, who was born in Webster City but moved to Florida before high school.

There's no point for the Register to write about Marial, because there have already been awesome pieces about him in both the Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times.

Warner may be on the Canadian team, but there's no guarantee he'll even run.

I did read about that in the initial article, which I was able to comprehend fully the first time. Your initial post told me to "re-read the article", which I didn't need to because... Again, I was able to understand the words on the screen the first time. Afterwards you failed to comprehend my post, jumped to conclusions, and implied that I was ignorant concerning the subject - FYI, I'm not. You should go back and re-read this thread so you don't continue to post stupid comments.

nbcsports also had a headline that kinda slammed jones. Jonesing it and said the other 2 now hope they have went above their more famous teammate

So I guess by the standards required to have promotional opportunities you have to win on the biggest stage of your career, smaller level championships do not count.

Who wants to let Dan Marino know that he's a failure since he didn't win the Super Bowl?
