Traditional hands down.

I don't mind the taste of the nuggets, but like others have said - they're not wings!!

Exactly, to me it's the same with ribs. I've seen places advertise boneless ribs before as well. To me it just says processed. Where I can deal with and actually like a lot of chicken nuggets, when I go for wings I like the whole experience of the bone being there. In fact, I prefer the places that keep the whole wing intact, not split into drummies and the wings.

This is what I love about the site, the over and nonsensical analysis of a simple question...Also the tangents that can derail a thread in minutes...

I did not know that there was a Gerri's, Trophy's, Jethro's, Cabco, or Chicken Coop in Ames yet. For a good wing in Ames, Wallaby's had decent ones when I was in college years ago.

Cabco's traditional wings>>>>>>>BWW's traditional.

Honestly, as far as B-dubs goes if you cover it with Mango Habanero or Carribean Jerk sauce, I will eat it. I don't care what you call it or what part of the chicken it comes from.

I don't get eating wings @ BWW. Last time I was there, it was fried bone dipped in sauce. The sauce is great, but they have next to no meat on those bones. Plus the price blows.

Buy some legit wings at the grocery store and fry/broil/grill them, go to BWW and buy the bottles of sauce, then sauce your actual meat-laden wings with BWW sauce and you'll be much better off.

headliners did a ghost chili 6-wing contest during the superbowl in 2011

me and the 7 others all had tears pouring down our faces within seconds

I have yet to try something with a ghost chili in it, but the competition sounds pretty fun.

Also I didn't know this but it looks like there is a new number one: Trinidad Scorpion Butch T pepper

only do it if you must... takes easily an hour and a half of constant drinking to settle your mouth - avoid all contact with any other parts of your body... they're gonna go up in flame too

but - you do look like a badass even with your eyes acting as faucets

I agree, I do this a lot when we have road games during the season.

When I eat hot stuff, I usually eat with only my left hand and use my right hand to drink/wipe my face. Also soft serve ice cream is quite refreshing afterwards.

I hope you're not getting that ice cream from a chain sort of place.

Well if the Iowa State Fair Dairy Queen would follow me around with an ice cream machine that would be ideal but I usually just go to the nearest place with soft serve. I have found that there really isn't too much of a difference between soft serve ice cream but I have found if it comes from a dairy booth at a fair it is quite exceptional.

When at BWW i always go with boneless. Not only are they good, but the regular wings at BWW aren't that great. Other places i can go for a good traditional wing or buffalo chicken sandwich. I'm just a fan of buffalo chicken in general.
