Bingo. I guess the question is at what point you are considered in the lane. Is it when your foot lands in the lane or when you merely cross the lane boundary?

Looks to me like his foot came down after the ball hit the rim. Either way, he has to be aware of this rule and make sure he doesn't get that call.

Someone just tweeted you can't break the plane of the lane. Correct call was made.

Woo hooo! I'd never have thought in a million years at the beginning of this season KU would be playing in the final game of the season for a national championship.

GO HAWKS GO!!

Eww please don't say this on our message boards.

On refs / KU passing ball inbounds

Thad Matta: "Yeah..uh..they went quick on us there and we weren't ready."

What the heck did Thad say to Tracy at the very end of that interview?

"Sorry for the bad time?" "thanks for giving me a bad time?"

On the first couple days of the tournament, I get it, because the guys out there (FT line or beyond) weren't really involved in the rebounding. At this stage, with these stakes, players should be well aware of a call that had a pretty high profile just two weeks ago. The rule didn't change in that time.

I'll be happy with beating a team that played for the national final. I can't root for them, though. No way I want another title for stuttering Bill. Hopefully, UK does to them what they did to us and Baylor. It will show how well we were playing at the end of the year.

I find it hard to believe Aaron Craft could be that pityful. 4 or 5 times he drive into the lane, totally out of control, 4 or 5 times Withey rejects it easily and it starts a fast break the other way.

He gave KU 2 points at the end of the half, didn't know the free throw rule, can't get into the lane, when he does it is a disaster, his transition defense is among the worst I have ever seen, he can't get his teammates good shots. What a choke job. That was right up there with Chris Webber. Just a pityful, sad, and horrendous performance by Aaron Craft.

Then there is Thad Matta getting thoroughly outcoached even though he had by far the superior team. No adjustments in the second half, thoroughly out played the entire second half, just over there yelling and sweating and not getting anything done. Maybe you should get your team ready for the inbound s play with 3 seconds left in the game. What an embarrassment of a basketball coach. Awful.

Good job Kansas.

How much better can it get!!?!?!??! Iowa State will either lose against the Champs or have won against the Champs! I love it.
And won against last year's reigning Champs! Actually, we didn't just win, we knocked last year's reigning Champs out of the tournament.

though Kansas is a big rival to us, I rather have a big 12 team win the championship , than sec or big 10
