I get what you're saying, More top end speed for Lampkin, and more "quicks" for West.

No. I was really just looking for someone to challenge my time so I could say "I CHOOSE NOT TO RUN!"
Well, I guess that is better than because of the scout team's defense. The QB position over the next 4 years is intriguing.
Lampkin got quite a bit of lovin' by the Omaha media. I'd like to see this kid in action!

Also regarding WR speed: Conditioning/endurance. Jerry Rice didn't really clock a great 40 time, but everyone knows he was pretty speedy. Ran great routes and he was as fast in the 4th quarter as he was on day 1.
Sometimes its hard to tell from the stands, but those guys aren't nearly as fast at the end of long runs. I'd say 80% even sometimes. Its more tiring than you think to run at 100%. Even in 100m dashes toward the end of the race-- the winner is the one who can hold their speed the longest and slow down the least.

Got to be honest. I thinl they need to find more roles for west. Use him like tue vikings use percy harvin. Wideout. Running back. Scatt back. Slot.

Add to that list receivers returning next year: Horne, West, Gary, Lenz! I see good future potential and I like it!
I think they have started to in the past few games. He is getting touches on different types of routes, screens, a couple carries/reverses, and on returns. It should become more diverse as he matures as a player,
with the talent that Jantz has, I would like to possible see him in a Antwan Randel El type role at WR. A type that can handle reverses, and handle a reverse pass. I like that kind of versatility.
