This made me wonder what Robert McFarland is up to (now that we're not paying out the remainder of his contract...) Here's what I found: Robert McFarland | UFL
It happens around here every year. In one thread, everyone will be predicting 6, 7, 8 win seasons. In the next, they will be on here predicting a hard fought game with our opening I-AA cupcake. Oh no, they are bringing back a lot of FCS talent, they could come into our house and smack us around. Give me a break. If you don't think we roll in this game, you better be predicting a 2-10 season. I chalk this BS up to the lingering Danny Mac effect where we can't help but talk up clearly inferior opponents.

Doesn't look like there's any talk about September 3rd. Doesn't look like there's much in the line of conversation there at all. I think I posted over there before the ISU/UNI game last year and it was a little livelier. Maybe it will pick up in a few months.

This is also true for NDSU, SDSU, and apparently now Baylor fans.

Do not ever mention that ******* game again. That was two of the worst weeks of Iowa State football I've ever seen (weeks 1 and 2 of 2007). Week 3 was awesome, and week 4 I wish I could also delete from memory.
This game I just want to see us running it on UNI at will and stopping the run. If we can stop the run, I like our chances of a bowl game this year. If we give up 5 per carry again this year we're going to have a hell of an uphill battle. UNI didn't allow us to do squat on the ground last year...I'd love to see us shove it down their throats. Get a pair of TDs between the QBs and RBs rushing and then another couple through the air.
What I'd pay to just see Herman and Co. run the score up...
I've never been more angry in Jack Trice Stadium than I was during the '07 UNI game. That includes '04 Missouri or '05 Baylor.
