Let's all watch this erection together!

Just got back from Jack Trice. The structure really is huge and I was kind of in awe of those cranes.

Yeah, the pics don't do it justice. It's BIG. Changes the whole look of the stadium from the north. I wish that the construction workers would have let people in to sit in the stands. Some people got in, but you pretty much had to know someone to do it. I'm hoping that they have spotlights for that logo on the back because it would look pretty cool at night.

Epic. Kudos to JP, this thing is a game changer at JTS. Everyone will want to have a good view of it, meaning very few people are going to sit in the North grass. This thing helps reduce the stadium from 4 to 2 hillsides and will make the south endzone have a bowled in appearance. Just another huge step forward for ISU and JTS.

And to think, all we had to do to get this massive boner was kick out CU and NU. We should've done it years ago!

I hope people do realize that in the last 4 years, ISU has spent over $75 million on capital projects for football ($30 million for west concourse, $20 million for East concourse, $20 million for IPF, and $5 million for scoreboard). I'm betting almost none of it would've happened without JP.

If we get the south endzone bowled in, I don't care what anyone else says. We will have a LEGITIMATE D-I stadium. This new board is HUGE! I'm going to be in Ames tomorrow and will definitely be driving by. It brings an entire new dimension to Jack Trice.

I know bowling in the South endzone is a hot topic (HOT TOPIC!) but the "F5-atron" (I'll name it - I'm not bashful) in the North End zone is probably the best motivation for the South project to move forward in 2016 or whatever. The Suites in the South would have the best and easiest views of both the field and views of the "F5-atron" making them more desirable ($).

Kudos to the AD if this is their thinking long term.

If it isn't, kudos to the donors and whatnot for a kickass scoreboard for the rest of us.

They plan to spot the north side of the truss. I think a countdown to kickoff clock would be great.

Remember when you look at the photos of the truss that the videoboard will cover the center four bays of the truss. The whole truss is around 180' wide and the board is around 80' wide.

Whoa!!!!!!!! That has officially registered in my brain as to how big it is. When its that massive from 150 yards away. That thing looks like there are 2 Jacobson buildings stacked up in the north end.

We can see the board from Ankeny it is so big. What an erection effort. The Cenex Man will have to be shown sideways. This might add five yards to kicks into the north wind.
