Post Game Thread: ISU vs KSU

Like I predicted, a Drake-style beat-down although I was a little high on predicting the final score for both teams (95-65), especially for Kenny State.

BTW, I thought KSU refers to Kansas State University on this forum, I was momentarily confused (just momentarily though).

I wish we had Mr. Anderson for another year, he may be every bit as good if not better than any xfer on the bench save White

It sure seemed like a total mismatch. I didn't really think our offense played that great, but their defense wasn't that good. I will give our defense some really high marks. We face guard people great and the help defense works well, however it does leave some holes on the perimiter.

Ejim sure had some nice jams.:v_SPIN:

Does anyone know what usually goes on for a team on holidays? I know Fred mentioned having them do walk throughs.

True, Mr. Anderson has been a dream so far. But from what I'm hearing, Chris Allen will ease the pain.

Chris Allen is probably better. Coach raves about him every time he mentions the scout team. Allen dropped 28 in the first intersquad scrimmage.

I'm still a bit reserved, but barring injury I think we have a very decent shot at being a 16-17 wins team this year.

As far as talent goes I'm sure Allen is better, but Anderson's value clearly can't be measured by scoring/talent alone. His intangibles (defense, scrappiness, fearless slashing) will be missed; I'm not in the know on what Allen will specifically bring to this team, but I imagine he will help us more from a scoring standpoint and less on the above mentioned intangibles.

Crowd was better and livelier than I expected for a holiday game against Kennesaw State.

Not like it's a sellout, but there were more people than I expected.

I agree completely. I was expecting it to be pretty empty. What a difference a few wins makes!

And it was loud for those intros!

Now when we add more fans in attendance (and I am not going to criticize anybody that didn't go the night before Thanksgiving. No way!), we will hear noise levels that we've almost forgotten were possible.

This style + that noise == Hilton Magic is coming back.
Maybe even better than ever?

Speaking of the intros... can i say how much nicer it was without the 'you suck' tagged on the end? I dont really have a problem with the words themselves, but i always liked the 5 claps, just in the 'we're giving you the minimum amount of respect... and thats it' sort of way.

Me, too. I like that "I don't mind because you don't matter" sort of thing introducing visitors.
