Auburn might have this years Heisman Trophy winner though with Cam Newton. Hopefully he doesn't turn into another Jamarcus Russell though when he goes pro.

Yes he is a jerk, but him leaving is the best things to happen to ISU football since Troy Davis. He kept the seat warm and program going so CPR could get ready for this job.
Why are there are some voters who just vote for Northwestern no matter what??? It completely baffles me. It can't be Chicago media, I live there and the entire city doesn't even know NW and Illinois football exist, Iowa or Wisc have 10x the presence as the "home" teams here. They're about 30 spots below us in computer models and still getting 4 AP and 9 coaches top 25 votes.
I have nothing against them, frankly their probably my favorite Big Ten team to cheer for, but good God, how biased is that? There are a good 50 teams I'd vote for before them, they haven't beat anybody and they lost to a bad Purdue team.

I know everyone hates Chizik (and I do too) but I think it was best for absolutely everyone involved that he left for Auburn. We're happy, they are apparently happy, I am almost ready to let bygones be bygones....almost...:twitcy:

I think we should redefine "getting chiziked" to mean "being caught totally by surprise but ending up with a better deal than we ever imagined."
"Getting McDermotted" is actually even more "getting Chiziked" than "getting Chiziked" is though.
rankings really arent worth paying attention to until the last couple weeks. There is still a lot of football to be played.
