I heard on a entertainment radio show that it's getting VERY low ratings and NBC is very close to pulling the plug.

His bit was much better at 10:30. Its Leno lite now. Conan is much better at this point.

Dunno if they'll can his show though, his show costs next to nothing compared to other shows theyve aired in that timeslot, so they can get lower ratings (and less ad dollars) and still come away with the same profits. Also, i think another reason they brought him in was that someone like ABC was looking at taking him away to their own 10:30 slot, and they dont want to be on the other side of that.

I find it funny that TV execs can lay the blame elsewhere. TV execs are the most out of touch people I know. You don't put young adult friendly shows on Friday night but they continually do it. Or put up their serial drama against other serial dramas. Know your freakin audience.

NBC probably lost their big gamble.

The drama show people are ticked because this Leno show reduced the market to show drama shows.

Just curious if anyone even watches this show. I'm watching it right now and it's terrible.

The Tonight show was his thing, that's what he was known for and thats the only fit for him I think. He had his following with the 10:30 show and that was his niche. this whole prime time try to reach out to a larger demographic thing they're doing is terrible. Like someone else on here already said, I tried about a minute of it and new already that I'd seen enough.

Plus its thursday, I've got the office then an hour of It's always Sunny and Philadelphia, I think I'll be just fine!

i find him to be much edgier at 9 than he ever was at 10:30. i personally find him funny most of the time. much better than conan, or dave who says something stupid then stares at the audience til they laugh.

with conan and dave, I think you either get their humor and love them or you don't really get it or don't like it and can't stand them.

I don't mind Leno. Some night it's better than the alternatives.

Have really liked Conan. Never watched him much before he moved to 10:30. I like his humor and think he's an exceptional interviewer.

Someone said a while back that Leno was doing more writing of the new show and that maybe part of the reason its not as good now.

This guy does a little spot on a local radio station. From his 10/19 broadcast:

On The Road With Mike Evans

Television Nugget: Despite what we have heard, people that were in weekend meetings at NBC say, they are happy with the Jay Leno to prime-time move!! Since the move, NBC only trails ABC and CBS by 0.2 rating points! And, Leno cost 1/5 what Law and Order and E.R. cost! Network bigwigs also believe Leno will dominate the ratings when re-runs start in December.

News of Leno's demise may be somewhat exaggerated...
