Texas Tech 10 Million Dollar Portal Season

TT apparently just said they may consider making it a sticking point. And if I have read correctly, some ADs are proposing that the boycotts of TT go beyond football. Last year, TT MBB played several P4 teams in the non-con.
Good luck to TT on the legal front then because they are gonna lose a lot of those when the judge isn’t in Lubbock or when they have to go against other real legal teams

they’re not

The judge essentially ruled that the legality of his ncaa contract is to be determined. Of which tech wasn’t a plaintiff
Playing a guy who knowingly broke a contract and then trying to sue others for breach of contract would be the ultimate "have your cake and eat it too".

Maybe they will, maybe they won't. And a lawsuit also means that the opponent backing out has to spend resources to defend said lawsuit.

We shall see how many of these "righteous" ADs will stand firm when push comes to shove.

You mean maybe playing a guy that potentially used courts to break an illegal contract

wouldn’t factor in. At all

Exactly

Any edict would largely be bluster
Tech suing is largely bluster

In the end edict removed, legal costs minimized, and schools still don’t play Tech

The burden is on you to prove you went through all the entire US legal code
Lol "entire legal code"

Schools have institutional discretion for scheduling. They don't have to schedule Tech.

They could try anti-trust or tortious which schools could countersue but both are a high legal hurdle for schools to clear.

Tech doesn't really have any legal ground to stand on. Nearly any judge not in Lubbock would throw the case out citing schools' institutional discretion for scheduling.

The ones outside the Big12 that aren’t in G5 most likely have law schools more then happy to help out.

I don’t expect the big12 to do anything though, the commish will just do what Cody tells him to because there is absolutely nothing stopping the Big12 from taking action right now

I'd like to see Tech's lawyers try to face lawyers from Michigan, Stanford, Northwestern, et al.

Your billionaire amorality stance is distorting rational thought from your end.

TT has not officially committed to actually playing him via the Hocutt statement so the B12 taking action at this point would be likely premature although they are providing threats behind closed doors if he does actually play.

And then there is this:

Starting to feel like I might be the only person here that’s not a lawyer.
My best friend from college is an assistant US Attorney who recently got divorced so I've been spending a lot of time with him lately. We discuss a lot of law. A lot. He needs to find a girlfriend.

What about Dekkers? Did he also not play? Did he too have an addiction?

The only thing interesting about Dekkers is he bet on an ISU game at ISU, and got a Saints tryout with little outrage.
Are you implying that it was okay for Sorsby to place bets on his team because of his "addiction"?
