Rushed home tonight to start the new Tom Hanks WWII series on History Channel. Woof. It's really bad. Should have known better, it's just the usual History Channel simplistic crap with a bunch of their usual talking head "historians'. Disappointed that Hanks debased himself to narrate this crap fest.

I guess if you're 12 years old and know absolutely nothing about WWII it would be "okay".

Band of Brothers marathon has seemed like the Memorial Day staple for the past few years. Not sure what would have to come out to top that.

It's only redeeming quality so far is that they have tons of archival footage that's never seen the light of day.

Didn't really expect it to tell the story at any more than a surface level.

Not sure why they can't just have Hanks narrate and cut out these annoying hyperbolic talking heads. If they left off the talking head and their "insights" it would be at least okay level.

Good to know, I had that on my calendar but YoutubeTV doesn't have that channel, so I was trying to figure out how to watch.

if you have Apple TV i recommend Window's bay. Its a mystery/horror comedy. It has been my favorite show lately that is active. matthew rhys is great as his role. Its not really a parks and rec in a horror show but there are moments that make you burst out laughing when the city hall staff is meeting that makes me think of parks and rec.

Watched Widows Bay based on this thread and love it. Was so disappointed when I realized I was caught up to current and had to wait for a new episode. If you like that show and haven't seen Werewolves Within I'd definitely recommend it.

Margo Has Money Troubles is next for me.
Two episodes of Widow's Bay will drop this week!

If you haven't watched the Kevin Hart roast on Netflix... don't. It was just bad. I wanted to like it but it was just bad.

Always makes me laugh when people say "if you haven't seen xxx, definitely DO or DO NOT watch it", as if their opinion will be the same as everyone else's.

I've just seen random clips here & there, seems to have some funny parts like most roasts.
