What's streaming that's good TV/movies

I've been bitten by that before a couple times. Paid to rent a movie and then it was free on one of my subscription services the next week. Where do you find that info?
It's an Amazon/MGM film, so it should drop on Prime eventually.. Once movies get past their digital rental window (varies by studio), they typically first drop on the streamer that studio owns/has a deal with.

I'm deep into the documentaries now on Netflix.

Have watched some good ones:
Amy Bradley is missing
American Nightmare
Trust Me: The False Prophet

Currently watching Pepsi, Where's My Jet?

I want to watch Project Hail Mary but it's $20 to stream. That's more than going to the theatre.
I'm not sure if I went in with too high of expectations, but I came away from the theater disappointed. I really wanted to like it.

Visually, very impressive. Something just didn't resonate with me. I'm a sucker for suspending disbelief when it comes to movies, but parts of it had me going, "Yeah, sure, that may as well happen."

It was a weird mix of trying to be scientifically considerate with some 80s action hero movie levels of unbelieveble sequences randomly tossed in when you least expect it.

When to Stream on Prime: It is expected to arrive for free for Prime subscribers in early-to-mid June 2026.
Ya I saw 'sometime this summer' as when it can be streamed free. I'll probably wait in protest as I've read the book and don't need closure I just want to enjoy it.

Ya I thought it might be better on the screen. Like those 80s movies that tackle serious subjects but keep it light. The book was good but didn't blow me away, mostly due to the same things you're bringing up.

SIAP or if it's been discussed in a separate thread, but does anyone have any thoughts/opinions on Season 5 of "The Boys"?

Personally I am not enjoying it particularly. Seems like it's really stalled out and the whole middle half of the season was spent doing not much more than looking for the elusive original Compound V. I really hope the series finale hits it out of the park, because otherwise this last season is just as mediocre as the last season of "Game of Thrones" was.

Just started watching 61st Street.

It's a very dark show. Not just in terms of the premise but also the filming. They hardly use any lighting.

I hate that almost as much as shows where they whisper almost inaudibly most of the time, but then the soundtrack starts and sounds like a freight train.

Agreed, both were fantastic. I've got a theory on who called CPS in Margo's Got Money Troubles, and it's not who they think it is.
Season finale for Margo's Got Money Troubles was really good. As for my theory above:

Nailed it, knew it was Kenny. If you look at his expressions in the background when they were at the hospital last episode you could see it. Thought there was going to be more fallout from it though. Maybe that's for season 2.
