Floyd "Money" Mayweather... May Need a New Nickname

Reminds me of Allen Iverson's financial/spending issues. Said he bought brand new clothes for every road game and never packed anything. Just absurd.
According to Jason Whitlock, Floyd never wore the same pair of underwear twice.

This is why education is so important. We're talking about a guy who legitimately can barely read. He is borderline illiterate. How can you expect a person who doesn't understand the concept of reading words to understand how to save money properly.

Crazy that 1 fight (I believe he made upwards of 100 million per fight) would be enough to set me and several future generations of my family up comfortably.

Just as important as education is being smart enough to surround yourself with at least a few people you can truly trust, who will have your best interests in mind, and who know how to manage money. Unbelievable to me that he didn't bring anyone in who knew what they were doing to keep their eye on the bottom line. Screaming through $1.2 billion in barely 20 years is pretty unreal but at the same time not all that surprising for a guy like him.

Exactly. Imagine what even an average level fiduciary/investment strategist could've done for this man. He could've invested every penny and would've never had to touch the principal.

Hard to imagine. Any links?
A few Business Insider articles and articles on boxing websites, have been out there but what I've seen are segments in the past few days by Stephen A., Joe Rogan, Jason Whitlock, some others talking about it.

Well if Stephen A and Whitlock can agree on something, it must be true.

I imagine it is very hard to find people who truly have your best interests at heart with that kind of money floating around. $1.2 billion sounds great, but I bet it’s real “lonely”. I mean…I think it would be hard to not be at least a little leery of even the people who are “close”, unless they also have their own fortune.
