Might be gone, but Rise playing today doesn't signify anything. ISU's website shows Mitchell hasn't played since December 21. So my guess is they are preserving a year of eligibility.

Mitchell can't redshirt. The rule is that if you step on the court and play, your lose your redshirt option for that year.

He can medically redshirt if he's injured. He had to play less than a certain percentage of games which I think he has.

…And what is it with Jim Spanarkel mispronouncing Nate's name, Hy-Zee, every ISU game this year? Shame on him and on CBS for not correcting him. No one else mispronounces his name. The Olympic crew got his siter's name right in Olympic hockey. Only Spanarkel get's Nate's name wrong, every time.
