12 champs in 10 weights. What a conference!!
For At Large purposes, unless we had 9 allocations at those weights. One of the metrics for at large is 1 spot out of allocations
Jax dominated Larkin on the mat. I don't think Reineri would survive on the mat vs Jax
I've seen a few comments about getting the Larkins. I'm a big fan of them but I hope they stay at ASU and grow the family legacy. I also can't see throwing more money at anyone who might end up at 141-175 range. We've got studs already with FrostX2, Ech, Paniro, Euton, and MJ. Save our coins for 187, 197 and possibly 125/133 (although Grice and C Pearson look promising).
Yes. I think it was at the Cyclone Invitational.
Ortega he was in deep on a shot at the end of the second with time running out then to close out the 3rd he was in on another but Jax defense was too good for him. Also to note Jax didn’t get in on any shots during that entire match.

Did they change the rule in the double OT that you have to go to rideouts? Because when it was Ech's choice with :18 of riding time, he should have gone neutral in that 2nd OT when it was his choice.
No, because he would have needed to get a takedown or would have lost by a point. Vega got an escape.
I didn’t get to watch the finals until this morning, but wow, that was a great event. Most of the matches were extremely high level and very entertaining.
Rocky, is just as solid as they come. Novak is really tricky and tough. Great win. My question is does Rocky have a case for the 1 seed? Can he get an RPI? Have to think he’s had more quality wins than Barr.
Yonger - don’t see how Doucet could ever take him down. He should have been hit for stalling. But Yonger is the man.
Stevo - I like where he is at heading to NCAA. Spratley will always be tough, and I really can’t see a path to victory there. But Stevo should be really competitive with the whole country and great shot to AA.
Ech - too much respect given. Needed to open up and give himself a chance. Don’t like Vega and think he gets knocked off pre-finals at NCAA. Unfortunately, the loss probably puts Ech on Mendez side. Maybe Hardy can beat Mendez at Big 10 and make Vega the 1?
Jax is really freaking good. Don’t like to watch Lockett, glad he lost. Kind of still wish Swiderski was a Cyclone. 57 is going to be a blast at NCAA. Would love to see a healthy Zerban in the mix.

Regarding Bastida....if the uniforms are reversed that crowd is filing onto the mat screaming for a stall call.
Couldn't agree more on Ech...he played it too safe and slow. Needs to use his power and strength to his advantage.
Messenbrink, Mendez, everyone else.
That said, I am planning to dig into it at some point because I think Yonger is not getting the credit he deserves. He should be a finalist.
