New floor for Big 12 MBB/WBB

That seems like an awful lot of connections. Over/under on how long until there is a glitch?

P.S. On a related note, they had problems with scoreboards at Arizona. Lots of people, including journalists, couldn't see a stadium scoreboard from their seats.

Thank god they actually listened. Not my favorite but not as bad.

They definitely should, and I'm guessing will, have a different court design every day to maximize having this type of court. I hope at some point they do one where each teams offensive end looks like their home floor with the Big 12 tournament logo at mid-court.

As someone who stares at a large LED screen all day, I have to wonder if the muted gray color is actually a necessity. Shiny wood floors that reflect light sources is one thing, but making the floor the actual light source might make vibrant colored flooring impossible to play on.

This is definitely possible, but since last years court was gray/black with the XII design (on a standard wood court) I’ve assumed it is a design choice this year more than anything.

With all the slipping going on I pray that Lipsey survives without an injury.
I am worried about this floor for the men's tournament. The guys will be running faster. If players are slipping at slower speeds, I can't imagine what may happen when running at faster speed

I give an "A" for Yormark trying something new. But sometimes being the guinea pig isn't ideal

You think the internet bullied the Big 12 into changing the court design?

Brett Yormark, on Feb. 13:
"The earlier rounds will have one creative application. And then as you progress...you'll have a different court -- you know, 'creative presentation' if you will -- and then we'll have something more dramatic for the finals."
