Cyclone Wrestling Twitter

David Carr with a dominant 13-2 TF over Bubba Jenkins at RAF 6 last night. DC puts on a great show. Also a really nice video tribute to Nate Carr earlier in the show. A few technical glitches with the broadcast, but I'm getting into the RAF concept.

It’s not really doing it for me. Way too many MMA guys that never wrestled, social medial influencers, or old guys that have no business being on the mat.

Maybe 1-2 worthwhile matches per card, and not worth the cost to stream. I get that the hardcore wrestling fan is not really the core audience for these broadcasts, but also can’t really imagine that a lot of people want to watch Muggzy on 4 different cards.

Agree the quality of the wrestling needs to step up. I expect it to improve. The main event shouldn't be guys with dad bods whose peaks were 20 years go.

But, hey, I signed up for a year based on your recommendation, Crab. I think it cost $35. Hopefully, it will evolve into Carr/Messenbrink, O'Toole, Basset, Jax ie. post-college guys who want to stay in the sport or working up the traditional 'amatuer' route. Yonger would be fun to watch in this format.

I saw O'Toole 9-0 what did that look like ?

David personality is built for something like RAF. Not in an ego maniac way, that’s not him. But he knows how to work a camera and command a room. He also is going to kill most guys and is at a level that they need to pursue to keep the competition high.

If women's wrestling doesn't happen now, it will never happen at ISU. Cutting a sport and apparently with Pollards words, WE WILL replace it.....no other sport makes any bit of sense but wrestling.

I'm assuming the current facilities could be shared and thinking out loud, IF she'd even want it (with a new kid and all) you have Ali sitting right there to take it over. Plus, adding women's wrestling "possibly" could push the new facility over the finish line with more interest, enthusiasm, etc.

Fingers crossed here…. Offer it to Alli and get the North Central coach too. He beat Iowa with zero resources. As a HS girls head coach I can tell ya that super elite wrestlers in our state alone are begging to compete D1 and they all can’t go to Iowa. So they choose to just be students.
coach Norton is a north central alum / he bleeds for that school can't see him leaving but it would be a outstanding get should a girls program matriculate to ISU

Is there any women's programs that are already at Iowa State where they can use a 2nd season? Is track like that?

Pollard also said similiar size programs as what Gymnastics are. How many athletes or scholarships did they have?

Track and field already have both. Volleyball might and honestly, that would cost nearly nothing. You the man buf
