Talked about the Iowa high school tournament, previewed Big 12s, the Cuban connection. Not much we don't know but good exposure for the program and Metcalf is a good spokesman.
Comments on David Carr, Nationals etc.
Also talked about the different roles of the coaching staff and how they have different strengths (Metcalf on their feet/St John on the mat) and how they work together without egos getting in the way. Staff continuity and teamwork have been key in building the program.

7 AA's, 2 finalists, and 2 with a chance to AA would be like the greatest thing to happen to me as an Iowa State sports fan.

I looked at the bracket quick and saw the narrow margins of victory for Merrill and was a little bit confused. Until I saw that both matched ended after one TD with a Fall. Super excited for this kid!
3-5 is going to be a heck of a race. Unfortunately, I see ISU in these predictions as pretty maxed out.
Bonus points will be huge.
I could see Euton sneaking into R16 or bloodround, but also could see 0-2.
Otherwise I agree. Lots of variances in how guys could do, mostly the downside of those predictions.
Your age is showing as we have 8 NCAA titles and from Bobby until KJ first year 2nd - 5th was the norm. Yes, this would be a great season but they still have some work to do.
