Good catch. StL even better.St. Louis then Houston
I think I'd rather have UCONN or Nebby in Houston for Elite Eight than UMich in Chicago.

That’s just for the first weekend’s games. They’d still be in the Midwest region and play in Chicago for the second weekend’s games.I thought Michigan is electing to play out east in Philly? That’s the rumor
I think any cyclone who was a fan for thay msu game would choose the 1 seedI think I’d prefer the 1 seed path in Houston over 2 in Chicago. Based on this S-Curve, I think we’d get Illinois, Kansas, and Texas Tech as our 2, 3, and 4
Dude at the theater here said we are a 4 seed
Thought he was a little low....overall 4 is a much better way to frame that up
We are 90% done with the season and these are the guys that pick the bracket not Joe Lunardi. It's nice to know where we sit in the committees eyes prior to the stretch run. Plus its fun in the same way millions watch the CFP weekly shows on ESPN each Fall.I've never understood why anybody would care about this. We have 4 games left plus the B12 tournament. It will change if we win 0, 1, 2 ,3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 games. It's nice to be highly thought of, but no more useful than predicting brackets on the first day of the season.
It must have been physical agony for ESPN to publish that article, considering we got mentioned later and not with Michigan, Duke, and Arizona.
If you look at UCONN schedule they got most of those Quad 1 wins in Nov and Dec., they have only faced 3 ranked teams since that time. Beating Seton Hall and splitting with St. Johns, while also losing to Creighton.Coulda been worse. Coulda been the Sporting News.

NCAA Tournament bracket preview: Iowa State blows UConn off No. 1 seed line — but why? | Sporting News
Connecticut has not played effectively in the past month, but the NCAA March Madness selection committee is not supposed to emphasize recent performance in its selection and seeding work. It sure seemed the members did in placing Iowa State above the Huskies in the official bracket preview.www.sportingnews.com
Losing at home to Creighton was bizarre since Creighton has quit.He goes through his entire argument, putting down Iowa State as having inferior qualifications for the 1-seed, as compared to UCONN, then ends by noting the Cyclones are 4-1 vs Quad 1A, UCONN 4-2. His argument seems to be that the committee shouldn't consider UCONN's home loss to Q3 Creighton, because it happened recently. Dumbass.
It is much better to be fighting to hold your position in the Committee's eyes than it is to be trying to supplant someone else who the Committee already thinks is more deserving.I've never understood why anybody would care about this. The last thing this committee will want is 2 teams from the B12 on the 1 line. They will come up with some reason or another why UCONN should be placed there and will say that it's fair putting ISU and Houston on the 2 line. The committee is over valuing those UCONN wins that occurred in Nov. and early Dec. over wins that the B12 is getting now.It is much better to be fighting to hold your position in the Committee's eyes than it is to be trying to supplant someone else who the Committee already thinks is more deserving.
Also, the Committee has gone on record before that conference tourney result can come into play in determining who is in and who is out of the tourney, but they don't use it for seeding so there are a lot fewer games left to decide this.
No disagreement from me. But it is still better to be on that line and force them to make excuses then to start out of that position and being pushing against Committee inertia to get onto that line. The last thing this committee will want is 2 teams from the B12 on the 1 line. UConn has also proven that they can live up to a high seed. What do they have? Like 5 or 6 Natties?UCONN is the name team, and if we lose to Arizona I would bet they move them up to the #1 seed line over us, but I am not sure they deserve it over either us or Houston.
Big 10 shill CBS not only has us as a 2 seed, they have Illinois as the top-rated 2 seed (#5 overall) and we trail them as the 6th overall seed. The 1 seed is still in play for Iowa State, but at this rate I can't blame the committee for giving it to UConn for the rate they're playing at. Iowa State has a lot more to prove at this point to earn that final spot unless things really fall through for other teams at the top.
