Most punchable face in the Big 12

A lot of universities play Mr. Brightside. It doesn't make a ton of sense based on the meaning of the song, but whatever gets them pumped. I think they just love to sing "destiny is calling me" and tune out the rest of the lyrics. I get it, I was young and drunk once.

I tell my daughter she was meant to love the song since my wife and I saw The Killers when my wife was 8 months pregnant with her. Great show. My wife didn't have as much fun as I did for some reason.

Personally, I get more out of the shirt waving fan the last two games. He did more for the energy in the building than Mr. Brightside. Yeah...I'm old.
I think both are great. I just don't understand the whining some fans do about song selection like Mr. Brightside, Juicy Wiggle, etc. If it gets the fans and students to be energetic and crazy, I'm all for it.

Just glad to see anything displace Sweet Caroline. Hate it too, but anything to get rid of that song.
Yeah I cannot stand sweet Caroline. Mostly for my dislike of the Boston Red Sox. Sweet Caroline also has heavy association with Penn state but I know they stopped playing it because the lyrics don’t bode well when you get in trouble for pedos on the coaching staff.

Every time I’ve heard sweet Caroline it has been against my will. I think majority of the fanbase under the medium range of age likes Mr. Brightside more than SC.

It was probably since you made her put you on her shoulders.

Not in love with it, prefer Sweet Caroline but the student section is in to it. Maybe I'm just old, SIGH.
The song Mr. Brightside is old. None of these college kids were born before it was released. It died along with the rest of Emo when Sugar We're Going Down single-handedly killed that obnoxious genre (thank God). It's weird that it's been resurrected and seems more popular than ever. Like Don't Stop Believing. Decent songs, but they've just been run into the ground at this point.

Went to the Home Run Derby X event this past summer at Principal Park, Mr. Brightside was their sing a long song.....'daddy why is this song talking about taking off her dress?'
