Sub City and Haley's Deli are the only things I miss about living in Marshalltown. It was bananas watching that dude make like 10 different subs at a time off the slicer.
Had to go into the dirty Dodge today, Jamar was having a customer appreciation day the all american burger or fish sandwich fries and a pop for $5. it was a bargain and really good to boot. I didn't even know what the all american was just ordered it, it was a vegetable burger along with cheese and I'm guessing a 1/3# burger, it was darn good.
That game today should get a few people to back away from the edge for a couple of days at least
I wish the wrestling meet tomorrow night wasn’t so late. I want to go but not so bad to get back close to midnight on a Sunday night.

Dude, we haven't won in hours. Time to be concerned.
I dreamt I was in jail last night and killed someone. I was dreading going to prison for life. Waking up was a BIG relief
Dang what a weekend for Cyclone Sports! That game tonight was a doozy!! Still wound up but time to try to fall asleep, meeting in the morning and some stuff I need to get working on in the afternoon. Sweet Cyclone dreams everyone.
Our new normal at basketball games - during super tight moments and fantastic runs we both have to sit & do Zen breathing to slow our heart rates back down again. Hard to do in Hilton!
Anyone know the people in the sound both? Please tell them the next time that the dude Infront of them decides to stand on his seat and throw his hands up with a Pom Pom, to give the guy a nice shove off the seat. Missed a few big moments on TV because all we saw was the back of him.
Hi everyone! I wanted to share the following. My wife and I don’t do anything special for Valentine’s Day, so what happened was purely coincidental and not related to that. My wife decided we should get away for the weekend, so she bought ISU tickets and gathered our daughter, son-in-law, and neighbor to help with chores while we were gone. She surprised me with this on Thursday night.
We headed to Ames early Saturday morning, where we caught the Kansas game. After that, we did some shopping in Des Moines and spent the night there. We returned to Hilton on Sunday. Following that victory, we traveled west to visit my wife’s aunt and spent the night there. We made it back to Hilton in time to enjoy the celebration last night!
We just got home, and this will be one of our big vacation getaways for a while. I think I should get away more often; with the help around, some tasks were completed that I hadn’t gotten to. I now have some time to move some equipment and tweak the planter for beans this afternoon in this nice weather!
If I had known about this trip earlier, I would have prepared our camper since the weather was so nice, but overall, it was a great weekend. Life is good!
