I do think it's this. Just one of many reasons to hate AP polls. That said, the team simply hasn't looked right since the Purdue game. I don't know that Iowa broke us, because we have won several games since then, but could be they exposed us. The performance have been lackluster, even the wins, and we look like the less prepared team in these games.I just think we’re finally coming back down to the mean.
Tj needs a new bag of tricks. It's not hard. Isu is really really predictable on both ends. It's an easy scout because we are really vanilla offensively with a couple Spain sets. Defensively we do the same stuff every time. Tj even admitted this on an interview this week.
Lipsey is too short to play SG and not a great shooter. Batemon should play SGLet Toure play PG and let him slash. Tamin can play 2 and let him play on the perimeter more. I said Tamin's inability to go to the hoop was an issue a month ago and everyone flipped out on me.
Yeah, Cinci took 18 more shots then us (69 vs 51). We both shot similar %, but when you are getting 18 more shots (4 from TO, 4 from Off Reb, 10 from us getting fouled and shot not counting). If we are going to have that kind of advantage on FTs, we have to shoot 75%+ to make them pay.Opponent not turning the ball over. ISU turning it over.
Pretty much summarize things
ISU needs to put up 62-64 shots a game, today it was 51! Yes 51
Probably a combo of lack.of adjustments by players and coaches
He's not too short to play off guard in college. Not even close. In a perfect world id want 3 guards to start on my team. As long as your guards can defend guys 2-3 inches taller you are at an advantage offensively. I mean look at 2000 ISU. The ability to stretch the floor and have guys be able to drive is hard to defend.Lipsey is too short to play SG and not a great shooter. Batemon should play SG
I think this is a lot of it. Would like to see some better ball movement on offense and adjustments on defense when traps are clearly leading to a lot points and aren’t effective at creating turnovers.Opponent not turning the ball over. ISU turning it over.

Agreed. He's good enough that it forces guys to get out on him though. Then he puts the ball on the floor and drives. Dribble drive penetration is everything in the college game.He may not be too short to play SG but he is not a good shooter
Its our entire offensive scheme imo. Can't rely on jump shooters all the time. Guys need to be able to attack the basket and at the very least draw fouls. And find a way to get Jefferson the ball where he doesn't have to dribble more than 3-4 times. Hit him cutting to the basket 15 ft. out.
So much the case. I was optimistic about Buchanan after the non con, but its clear TJ still needs to recruit a different type of animal for big 12 play. Buchanan might end up being fine, but the last 2 games against these bigger, hyper athletic dudes he has really struggledWe're clearly not as good as we thought we were, but we should still be better than what we saw this week. This is worse than regressing to the mean.
Two years in a row the guys that have transferred in to play the 5 have fallen short of what you need from a Big XII caliber player.
Is it just me or does Jefferson always dribble the ball chest and damn near neck high? It’s funny we tried to say this after the Kansas game and got throttled for it
