NIL embezzlement at St Johns

***Just realized this is Hoiberg’s guy at ISU after I posted it! I honestly didn’t pay attention to the name until rereading the X. At first I thought…’what are the odds?’ Yep, it’s him.

NIL but also political…don’t butt hurt at me, I’m not the one who stole or spent it.

But thought it was interesting since it happened at one of our opponents this year, St John’s. Also, I doubt it’s the only case…I bet we’re gonna find more of this in the future.

The political aspect of it isn’t lost on me either.
Gets a mind to wondering how those worlds came together. Seems bigger than one guy.

ScottHughesCBB is not a legitimate news account. No credible sources are reporting the same info.

Matt Abdelmassih was fired from St. John's but no one has reported a credible reason.

FYI the account in that picture I'm pretty sure is a parody account.

It is indeed a fake account, but I'm not totally convinced that something similar to embezzlement or a series of writing checks the university can't actually cash isn't the cause of the firing. Teams aren't firing GMs willy-nilly in season much... there's probably a good reason. And/or a legal one.

Someone posted a screenshot of the Trilly Donovan Dischord yesterday that said "the numbers weren't adding up" (or something similar), which sounds like embezzlement to me, but I'm speculating of course.

Embezzlement is 100% a reason to mid season, dude could be facing a felony for it if true.

I'm sure the NCAA will find a way to nullify ISU's win against St. John's over this.

Appears there are questions about the money being spent correctly. The rest is not accurate.

He left NE under Fred ’for health reasons’ mid season and then was gone.

Sounds like a pattern is emerging.

Big East is (at least in theory) a solid place to be for basketball right, for that reason (bigtime basketball and no football to compete with for revenue sharing). Maybe Shaka should start using the portal.

Surprised they've played 6-7 conference games already. They must start early.
