*** Official #2 IOWA STATE vs Kansas Game(Day) Thread ***

Toure game log. 1st game of the season at the top pretty easy to see why the offense has felt worse since Purdue he has struggled in most games since then and is a non-factor on offense.

Toure has always been pretty raw offensively. He's had a couple really too offensive games. I didn’t really think he would be a top option for us on offense in conference play. I imagine he works his tail off in offseason and may be one of our top scorers next season. Right now he needs to stay focused on defense and not turn the ball over.

8 pm start, weird espn technical issues, a KU dude makes a career high from 3, just a turd all around. We are better than this. Ego check, get back on the horse and ride. Definitely need to see better ball movement on offense.

Yep. I love Toure and want him to be in Ames for a while, but I got "dumbed" earlier in the season for saying he wasn't ready for the NBA offensively/shot wise.

I don't mind the loss, hell I was not feeling a win tonight even before it started but I didn't see it playing out quite like it did. A 6-12 point loss i would be handling better. I'd be curious to learn the last time a team that ended up a 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament took a 20+ loss to an unranked team during their season.
I know they are unranked but does anyone really think Kansas isn’t one of the 25 best teams in the country-especially at home?

I get ****** during games too but I try and keep perspective. We were 2-22 6 years ago. Up until tonight we were undefeated and #2 in the country. We got punked tonight and that sucks. But many good teams have gone into that building against that coach and gotten whooped. It happens. Now it becomes about what you learn and how you react.

I just hope we can keep guys healthy. This seems to be about the point in the year guys start dropping and you can see a few guys looking a bit dinged up. Gotta stay healthy.
But this is what happens every year. Peak early, fade in the second part of the season, they bow out early in the tourney.

I don't wonder why Matt got the hell outta here.
Anybody posting here, ever play significant moments for us?
Nope. Nary a one.
**** the forever critics here. Few have ever contributed to anything resembling Clone success.
He got out of here cause he reads cyclone fanatic? Glad Penn State fans will put much less pressure on him to win. Should be stress free for him now.

The sooner we come to terms with this team being a good team and not a great team the more enjoyable the rest of this season will be.
My eyes are still on a one seed, but not if what happened tonight happens again. If it does happen again, it becomes a hold serve at home and pick off a road win or two and ride your metrics to a 2-4 seed type of season.

That is a walloping in the metrics, but yeah…still safely in top tier national title contender territory.
I just dont think a bad performance at KU is a reason to jump of the ledge and declare this team isn't anywhere near as good as we all thought it was coming into the game. Obviously ISU isn't perfect and has some things to work on but that's true of everybody.

Everyone thought Michigan was this unstoppable juggernaut and then they barely beat a bad Penn St. team on the road and lose to a mid Wisky team at home. Should they feel any better about those results than ISU playing a really bad half of basketball at the Phog? It's conference play. This **** happens. How they respond over the next couple of weeks with a bunch of tough but winnable games will tell us who this team really is.
