I wish all these kids well and wish they were staying, but undoubtedly, some are going to be leaving thinking they'll improve their circumstances and are going to find themselves at a lesser program

I understand completely that players are only in it for the money and coach and aren’t really loyal to the school. That’s why I’m pissed and why I watcher fewer games every single year.

Are you just as upset that the coach were bringing in left his team after just one year?
Yeah I like Chris and enjoy what CF and Iowa Everywhere puts out but yeah you can't take him that serious as a "tried and true" journalist IF that is what he wants at this point. But maybe he doesn't want to be looked at that way. I'm sure his old ISU Journalism professors would be nauseated at how close he is to the coaches and players though.

17-23 year old's want all the glory of pro sports, yet when a minority of social media posts are negative, they broad stroke an entire fanbase... Just wait until the first loss at Penn State, then you'll appreciate how welcoming ISU fans are

Nope. I have no investment in Rogers yet other than he's on our team now and I hope he does well. If he leaves I won't root for him, either. You're either on our team or you're not.
Don't blame Campbell for leaving at all. He made the business decision, no doubt. I'll root against PSU every time I see them play from now on. You can disagree and that's fine, but it won't change my opinion.
Man, Campbell without Heacock. That is a huge risk. Who knows, hard to say how the Campbell era would have turned out without Heacock. Personally I think Heacock was the most impressive coach we ever had here.

My take is this, Happy for Campbell and for his time at ISU, Happy for the players for their time at ISU. But outside that I dont care. I am not saying they didnt do great things while at ISU, just that I dont care that they ever do anything great somewhere else. I dont care to hear CW or anyone gush over how great they were, and how special they are. They left because ISU was not good enough for them, they went for the shiny thing in the window, good for them, but I dont have to care about them, or hope anything, other than I hope ISU is better off without them. I should not have to hope that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, I should be able to hope that the grass was always greener at ISU, and they are going to jump over that fence and land in a big pile of dog ****.
That being said, they all have decided to go somewhere else, they have turned their backs on ISU and the Fanbase. So **** them. I dont give a **** about them anymore. I am not going to cheer for them, I am not going to hope the best for them.
Why should we all care and cheer for them to be great somewhere else. I have no personal connection to any of them, other than through ISU, so with them deciding to go somewhere else that anywhere else is better for them, and for them to not be loyal to ISU, then why should I give a rats ass as to what happens to them.
I wont be looking any of them up again, I wont care how their career goes, and I for sure will not hope they end up better off for leaving ISU, showing that anyone leaving or not choosing ISU is better for it. I never cheered for PSU before, so why should I cheer for them now because they stole our coach?
Who gives a **** about any of them, they chose to leave, they can live with it and no fans should feel obligated to care or want to hear about them.
This is a Cyclone page, this is for Cyclone fans, and those that choose to leave are no longer Cyclones, even though some claim they will always be, Im sure those that go to Pedo st will not list ISU as their school if they ever make it to the NFL, they will claim Pedo St, because saying they will always be a Cyclone is just BS fluff for fans to soak up, and for them to try to save face.
I had this sort of same thought when I read a post from CW in a different thread about a guy who was going to transfer, but CW said something along the lines that he deleted his post out of the wishes of the player, or something to that affect.
If you're going to withhold media coverage especially from paying subscribers because your personal emotions getting in the way then what are we doing here? Personal feelings shouldn't dictate what information is/isn't being reported.
Also, I think the real question is more how you feel about Washington State fans being upset that Rogers left. I completely get it and don’t hold it against them, so I think it’s fair to be upset at Campbell

Pedo St wont give Campbell that much control, like ISU did.
They wont let him change their Uniforms they have worn since the leather helmet days.
He wont be able to run his program how he wants, without his overlords giving the ok first.
