Yes. Edna Karr High School. Who's got the Louisiana connection?Tre Garrison?
Thats what I thought, there is another player from Edna Karr Highschool as well.Yes. Edna Karr High School. Who's got the Louisiana connection?
Where is Underwood in that list…Some of these guys should be arrested for grand theft.
Just a thought. A lot of discussion about recruits typically happens on CF. Later when they reach team player status it is not unusual to pull up their commitment thread.I assume this is sarcasm?
Michigan…MICHIGAN hired a 66 year old coach that got pushed out of his last job.
Pedo state got their 6th choice…and for all CMC did here, let’s not pretend he’s the 2nd coming of Nick Saban. He did a ton of good, but his loyalty, game day decisions, inability to get an O really going at a top level…those are all issues still left unaddressed.
We got a guy who just wins. He’s young. He’s been a HC. He was hand picked to take over a dynasty by his former HC. He’s shown loyalty (13 yrs at SDST), he wants to be close to wife’s family & in a P4 conference. We got him for a low price, got him with an AD he’s already close to and wanted to work for…and was willing to do what was needed to get this job (go to WSU).
Yea, I didn’t know who he was either. But that’s not my job. That’s JP’s. He obviously knew this was a possibility…and you can say JP didn’t do what was needed to keep MC. Unless he’s shutting gold eggs and hiding it from us…or he’s got a way to pry money out of conservative Iowa State alumni…there wasn’t anything he could do.
BUT…if you got one name we should have went after…we’re all ears.
Decommitted a couple days ago.Toe Sanders has a high school teammate running back signed with Washington State too.
So the guy 10 years older who was a coordinator under Jimmy at SDST?Jason Eck.
Coming soon to an ISU backfield??
He’s been on the job for 3 goddamn weeks. You aren’t even giving him a chance
Between Kirby Vorhees and Carter Pabst the Cyclones are minimally improving in the names position.Looks like a faster Carson Hansen to me.
Yep…that’s the saddest part. You should see the cars that used to park my the football complex! You think NFL guys go broke fast, just wait until the NIL stories start coming out about the guys and their poor decisions!
I like CPR…like Danny Mac, he just ran out of ‘turn a rounds’ to sell. You can only rebuild so many times before people realize it’s probably not gonna work.Paul Rhoads’s tenure at ISU was the most impactful by any coach at any school in the modern era.
First, despite both losing to Missouri in the final game of the 2009 season and finishing behind them in the standings, his Cyclones leapfrogged the Tigers and were selected to play in the Insight Bowl. This snub purportedly served as a catalyst for Missouri’s jump to the SEC, kicking off realignment that ultimately destroyed two power conferences.
Second, by defeating #2 Oklahoma State Paul Rhoads’s 2011 Cyclone team created a rematch of the 6-9 OT “thriller” between Alabama and LSU in the BCS title game. Alabama avenged their loss with a 21-0 title game win that was somehow even more boring. This galvanized the college football world and was directly responsible for the creation of the CFP.
Either one of these things would place Rhoads at the top of the list, but both? He is the architect of modern college football.
It makes you pine for simpler times when the Lamborghini Bijan Robinson drove around Austin was a loaner.Yep…that’s the saddest part.
Very few of these kids will have a nickel of their money by the time they’re 25.
Worse…most of those cars are financed. Along with everything else they ‘bought’.
A&M first exploited the NIL system the year before ISU got in trouble with the gambling thing. They created a bunch of LLC’s to pay the players NIL. When A&M lost to App State and it was clear a NC was probably off the table, they defunded the LLC’s and quit paying them the game day checks. As LLC’s there was nothing that could be done…they’d have been suing a turnip.
Which is why A&M was so erratic that year. I’d guess the amount of gambling by players to make their money for payments was staggering.
What is a poor kid who has no money and debt gonna do when their NIL checks bounce? They gonna return the car and jewelry? Or gamble on a ‘sure thing’?
