Good lord. I bet less than 20% of our players leaving end up at Penn St.

Most came for Matt. And they want at least some choice in who they play for again. Simple as that.

Agents are vultures and my guess is they love to swarm over teams with coaching changes. That is where they make their money.

At this point... nothing would make me happier than JP discovering evidence of Campbell tampering with our players and telling them to leave.... and suing him and PSU for everything he can get.

Well... I guess winning the lottery would make me happier!

Seriously though.... I would not be shocked at all to someday find out that Campbell was throwing JP under the bus this whole time to the players before he left and telling them that if he left they should also look elsewhere. I don't understand where all these kids think they are going to end up that is so much better than here?? Most do not move on from here to a better program honestly.

The chatter I have heard is at least the CMC camp and loyalists have made Pollard the absolute and complete villain, and that CMC couldn't take it anymore and just had to leave.

A lot of people are going to end up hating Penn State and their coach more than before.

As soon as Campbell left , the amount of piling on of hate showed JP was such that you could suspect that someone or multiple people were trying to establish a narrative.

Yep... all of this was completely JP's fault was definitely the narrative pushed by pretty much everyone that mattered at all. It was sad to see. I can't imagine what all the football players were likely being told when this all went down.

Let's just say... I don't think it's "normal" to lose this many players in a coaching change... that's all.

Heard this from a reliable source immediately after the announcement. They've been 8-for-8 so far on the list of people they said were leaving. This is second hand, but proving reliable. Take it for what you will.

I was posting here about the Penn State job being absolutely ideal for Campbell since it opened up.

That was largely predicated on his public statements about how much a place like Ames was the right environment for his family.

Commuting in from Palos Verdes to University Park is pretty different from Gilbert to Ames.

Not sure if it’s been said but this was discussed with Brock when he was on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast. A good listen.

Of the 70 who entered the portal last year for Wazzu, 10 guys came back to play for Rogers, including their #1 QB, #1 WR, and #1 TE.

Not saying I expect our stars to come back, but I absolutely believe some guys will return
