Exactly, it makes it sound like he doesn’t want Rogers or has a grudge against him.The use of "but" in a setence is usually pretty telling. It negates the first part and emphasizes the second. Sometimes intentional, but often otherwise.

That's a dumb tweet. He should have stopped at the first part.
Some serious butthurt in that tweet.I think CW has a big heart and is a good guy, but you have to separate relationships from your business. It comes off as clingy and weird IMO.
Chris got way too close to the coaching staff. For gods sake he was bawling when Campbell left. I’m not saying that as a knock on him, he was friends with a lot of these people, but that’s made him biased and unable to see the faults that Campbell and his staff had. Taylor Mouser was not a good OC. He may end up being a good head coach someday, but the people that wanted him to take over the program were people who had rose colored glasses on for Campbell and his staff like Chris Williams. The people who claim he will make a great head coach someday, are also those same people too. That's a dumb tweet. He should have stopped at the first part.
What is the smoke. What is the supposed connection? Jw.Sounds like there is some smoke. Won’t know how legit until January 2nd at the earliest
100% agree. I hope he becomes a great head coach someday. But to act as though he was anywhere close to qualified for this head coaching job right now is nuts and makes me question their credibility.Chris got way too close to the coaching staff. The word was Rocco was making 1.5m
This is where everything gets complicated. If you're truly a "journalist", I would agree. But I don't think this is straight-up journalism these guys are playing in.I think CW has a big heart and is a good guy, but you have to separate relationships from your business. Also, do people want access insider info or journalism? Developing friendships get you access. If I want journalism, I'd subscribe to the DMR.This is where everything gets complicated. What the hell are you talking about? There was no ISU player in the area. 4 mins 10 seconds.
This is where the emotion comes into play.Well yeah. I think most would expect them be mouthpieces for the athletic department. But instead they’re supporting the outgoing coach against that athletic department?
Yeah that’s a tough one but at least Iowa dodges most teams with a pulse frequently. They have allegedly solved their racism twice.I get pissed when Iowa doesn’t beat those sick f’s.
I NEVER get upset by an Iowa loss.
This is where the emotion comes into play.
Journalists should follow facts and what is known at the time. The roller coaster of "reporting" we witnessed was clearly an emotional one.
Again, I'm not saying this is right or wrong. People just need to see this all for what it really is.
Campbell got the sloppy sixths.IMO Campbell realized after losing 4 in a row, including a loss to Colorado, that another offer from a blue blood might not ever come. So when Penn State was left with their 6th choice as HC of Campbell he took the offer. People were saying Campbell was out of gas. And it had to be frustrating watching his old assistant Golesh land the Auburn HC job.
