***2025-26 CFB Coaching Carousel***

Something else has to be going on here. FFS, ask any of the student managers under Eustachy what used to go on in his office :)

I do have to admit, even with a loss there, Athens Ohio is a helluva fun town.
Really great college vibe.

not surprised he left, he needed to do that unless he wanted to be a ST coach all his life. I am surprised he took another gig as a ST coach. I figured he'd take a DC position somewhere or even a HC at a MAC school. It's not impossible to go from ST coach to HC (John Harbaugh famously did so) but it's rare and pretty hard to do.

I don't think this will hurt Iowa's special teams much, but he's a good recruiter and that will hurt. He's been my choice of internal candidates to replace Kirk at Iowa for awhile but he definitely needed to get out and experience some other coaching staffs.

Wallace at Iowa needs to do the same thing if he ever wants to be a HC.

Everyone knows I am about biggest Hawk hater there is but I met LeVar once and he was a cool dude.

After graduating from ISU I still lived in Ames and would workout at the Rec Center. Justin Eilers (a fellow LB) was still in town and working out the Rec Center too. One summer day there was this other guy in the Rec Center working out in Hawkeye and Cardinal gear, he looked familiar but I couldn't place him. Eiler's didn't like it and confronted him (Justin was psycho like that) and wanted to start ****. I diffused the situation. Started talked to him and found out it was LeVar Woods (was playing for the Cardinals at the time), and if I remember correctly he was in town for his wedding. Had a nice conversation with him.

Will also be Associate HC, I'm guessing a nice pay bump. Sucks for Iowa but good for him. He knows the end is near with the current regime.

Also knows he had to go see other parts of the sport if he wants to be a serious candidate when the time comes. It's the same thing Seth Wallace is going to be up against.

Looks like many on here were correct in their assumption there was more to the story with Ohio coach than knocking back a few drinks with the staff after the game.

Man alive! Can't a guy bang a chick at work anymore without getting trouble? Sheesh.
