***2025-26 CFB Coaching Carousel***

So who does Michigan turn to next? Jeff Brohm? Keep Biff Poggi for 2026 then find the permanent guy in the Coaching Cycle next season?

stop banging people you arent allowed to bang people

If I were an AD, I’d have some sort of unwritten policy to find the most homely looking girls to be on the athletics staff. Having a bunch of pretty college girls around only leads to trouble. If you need to bang a coed, there’s still plenty around. They just can’t be on the payroll.

ASU heavily subsidizes athletics to the tune of $50 million a year. Even with that, their athletics debt is more than a couple hundred million dollars. And yet they are completely unimpeded in investing in their head coach and football product to be funded near the top of the Big 12.

Subsidized with tax dollars or student fees? That makes a big difference IMO.

He'd probably "clean up" some of the trainwreck feel.

He’d be the perfect couple year interim coach for them. He plays their style and doesn’t have aspirations of a long career. Get past this and groom or look for the next coach.

That’s not necessarily a “good” thing. I understand how/why it’s done (not just at ASU) but it’s a bad model and can/will end very poorly.

Pretty rich for Dillingham to get a huge raise and extension and then tell everyone else they need to step up and fund the football program while he takes 0 hometown discount. At least Matt Campbell put his money where his mouth was while at Iowa State.

I dont know how they are getting their money, and still operate with huge debt. Not a good business model.

People have been saying that the NIL era meant that coaches would have to start taking a haircut on their deals. I don't see it. This thing is full accelerator, no brakes, until it goes off the cliff.

It doesn't say she is a staffer, just a undergrad student.

This story is weird, if Smith’s lawyer’s claims are true:

Given he went 8-4 you gotta assume he is an unlikeable prick or the university president is out to get him for some personal reason.

Yeah seems like they just wanted him out for some reason
