'People are flat-out slobs': Jamie Pollard

Beer is sold at Iowa State sporting events. This post is a bit misleading. I’ve had beers in both Hilton and Jack Trice.

I hope the new president does talk to Jamie about opening this up to the masses.
Not for the poors though.

Getting out of the elements is nice, stadium seats are nice, but dang. I don't get why people are willing to pay that much more to sit in the endzone and watch the game on the big screen above Jacobsen. It's a lousy POV if you're there to watch football.
I disagree. It's like watching film but that's clearly the hardcore football nerd pov.

Yeah it's horrible from a viewing perspective, so there needs to be some enticements to justify buying the crappiest view in the stadium. There's a reason that before Sukup the endzone seats were by far the cheapest seats you could buy.

I wouldnt call Sukup VIP.....If there is anything Jack Trice lacks is purchasable VIP seating ... i have sat in Jack Trice Club and Sukup and neither would really come across as VIP. Jack Trice is nice and on the 50 but compare it to premium club at other NFL/P4 schools and we easily in the bottom half.
Put it in the price point I'm guessing it stacks up ok. Comparing JTS to Sofi or even Arrowhead is apples to oranges.

Interesting seeing the numbers on revenue. I wonder how much money they ended up taking home after the expenses.
From the source article. To save you from Tweeting me, the schools that were unable to provide data were: Akron, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Hawaii, Iowa State, Michigan, Missouri State, North Dakota, Ohio State, Oregon State, Sam Houston State, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin, UTSA, UConn, UCLA, USF and Virginia Tech.

I watched most of the games one year from the south endzone under the old litebrite. Back then that north wind would try to literally rip your face off.
And now, after having accrued the requisite financials in order to sit amongst my more cultured peers in the Sukup Endzone, I am no longer a flat-out slob belonging to the unwashed masses.

Thusly, I hath penned this poem for you all, while sipping on an overpriced craft beer, so that I may describe to all of you lesser folk the contemporary experience of sitting in said endzone seating which our privilege affords. May you all find these words both humbling and aspirational:

Minor quibble.

If the sun is shining on your face, you're not sitting in the SOUTH endzone...

The draws of Sukup Endzone Club is to make it look like the stadium is pretty empty when they show the south end zone. :D
I used to sit there before it was bowled in. I HATE how it looks on TV now (fan wise). ISU has had lots of sellouts recently that makes it look like 25-30% full when the TV shows SEZ in highlights.
