What if they raise $2M? All the excess goes into the general fund and paid out primarily to football and mbb? They only get whatever they fundraise is my understanding, but I'd love for someone more in the know to clarify.
Agreed. We are going to have to get the horses to play a 4-man front. It may sound promising to many, but won't be without the proper pieces. He may have addressed that a bit in disguising things. Will be interesting to see the roster, recruiting and results the next few years.
You'd like the think it would rollover for the program to the next year, but it quite possibly goes into the general fund. Maybe @Ryan Rohlk could clarify for us.What if they raise $2M? All the excess goes into the general fund and paid out primarily to football and mbb?
That is super common, and usually the new school/team agrees to pay that buyout on the coach's behalf.Interesting on the buyout being paid by coach. Is that common? So he's essentially giving up over a year of salary over the term of the deal?
NewbI'm in my 14th year commenting here instead of working.![]()
He's saying the opposite. That is super common, and usually the new school/team agrees to pay that buyout on the coach's behalf.
Just to clear up Coach Stig is not his FILI believe that’s his FIL also
"Somebody that WANTS to be here" has been said a couple times by JP lately.
Calculated words IMO.
He needs to give Wendy an Antonio Banderas style kiss and walk off stage
Ok. Thanks. Someone else had posted that earlier and I should have checked and just took it as truth. Thanks for the correctionJust to clear up Coach Stig is not his FIL
Not sure what I expected from all of this but a Tokyo Drift reference is a good start to winning me over...
FWIW, his attitude will NOT play well if he isn't successful.
Isn’t that going to be heavily influenced by who is hired for OC? I prefer for the HC with a defensive background to not decide how the offense is going to look. Hire the right guy and let them run their offense.
That cant be a bad sign at allListening to Bill Seals on M&C podcast, another couple tidbits:
Beau Goodwin was committed to SDSU and Rogers before ISU flipped him.
After the players meeting yesterday there were players lining up wanting to have follow up/side conversations with him
Guess we know how he spent his late Saturday night. Doing figure 8's in the JT parking lots.
He also mentioned in the press conference that he recruited Kooper Ebel but he lost him to us.Listening to Bill Seals on M&C podcast, another couple tidbits:

Or a 3-4 defense. Heacock (or whoever the DC) will have the ability to recruit enough 4/5 star DL & LB's at Penn State that they can run any defense he want (3-3, 3-4 or 4-3).Heacock started with a 4 man.
Changed it based on what would neutralize things and overall it was very successful if ran well like anything else.
He'll probably run with 4 at PSU if he's there.
