Due to where I was told the rumor came from, I'm not going to just post it here. But I think Rogers has his guy.

Roehl would be a great hire and would likely be able to keep the majority of the offense, especially the running back position. It's got to be Tyler Roehl.
Rogers had a special teams coach this year. Funny enough he’s a Drake gradAre we hiring a special teams coach? I’m hoping that PSU has 4-5 punt returns deflect off their return team for a turnover. It’s about the only thing that drove me crazy about Matt.
If he is going as oc, maybe mouser will stay. ..From PSU message board:

Rumor: Scheelhausse in as OC
If you’re being honest what Bryan Harsin is really known for is the Statue of Liberty.I've created a list named Iowa State OC Candidates with the following individuals:
* Taylor Mouser (Current Iowa State TE Coach/OC): Represents continuity and roster stability. Could potentially be retained with an elevated title like Associate Head Coach.
* Danny Freund (Washington State OC): A trusted colleague of Coach Rogers from his time at Washington State. Runs a spread offense, which would be a stylistic shift.
* Seth Littrell (Former North Texas Head Coach/OC): A veteran coach with strong Big 12 experience (Oklahoma, Texas Tech) and a proven track record as an offensive play-caller.
* Bryan Harsin (Cal OC, former Auburn HC): Known for installing physical, run-first systems at Boise State, which aligns with Iowa State's established culture.
I would also add Roehl to the list
Sorry i should of mentioned it was an AI list. I think Mousser or Roehl for player retention would be my top choice though. If you’re being honest what Bryan Harsin is really known for is the Statue of Liberty.
Please God not ManningJust heard a rumor about OC. Sounded plausible. Not Mouser but someone who was here before who had OC experience and a good pedigree.
Was the RB coach 2 years ago. He’s now the TE coach for The LionsCan someone remind me who Roehl is, what he did at ISU, and where he is now?

Was NDSU OC and ran some pretty prolific FCS offenses from 2019-2023, including Trey Lance while there. Would have some connection and potential to retain offensive players who maybe are on the fence. Was the RB coach 2 years ago. He’s now the TE coach for The Lions
Yep definitely would have had his hands in the current freshman class that’s at Iowa State especiallyWas NDSU OC and ran some pretty prolific FCS offenses from 2019-2023, including Trey Lance while there. I know Scheelhausse is just a rumor at the moment…. If that comes true then either MC was told to do better then Mouser or he knows he isn’t ready for OC. If that all comes to happen then what the heck was going on with the push for Mouser to take over here???From PSU message board:

Because people like Chris Williams are close with the staff and friends with him. They’re heart wanted him, even though he would have been an awful hire.I know Scheelhausse is just a rumor at the moment….
