Assistant Coaches

I bet Heacock retires but if I were Jimmy I’d be calling up Broomfield offering him the DC spot ASAP. That way we can retain a few of our studs on D. I’d like to see clanton stay as well. Not fond of this hire but if he does that we can at least have a starting point.
Not happening. The defense will be him and his guys.

Assuming we’ll have an OL coach opening, my push would be Ryan Olson.

Was OC at SDSU under Rogers. Moved to Northwestern OL coach when Rogers went to Wazzu.

Wife was one of the best Iowa State softball players of all time
Lajun was OC. Olson may have been co or associate head coach or something. Either way, I’d place a decent likelihood they’re both here next year.

I expect Heacock to retire, but the analyst thing wouldn’t surprise me. He’ll be back closer to home as well, still in the game but in a role with a LOT less stress and time commitment.
he’s 65 and has coached his entire life, what’s home at this point?

Broomfield will be at Penn State. That one is straight from the horses mouth.

Terry Smith is being retained at PSU by Matt…
Probably to keep a bunch of current players
