I would say in game coaching was Matt’s biggest weakness. He was a good CEO type and could develop players.

I like Rocco and glad he’s our QB. But does hiring the guys dad to keep him for 1 more year really make a difference? Gotta think long term an in the best interest of the program, not 1 QB with 1 year of eligibility left.

He is at least impressive in an interview and is on the short list. We've already been turned down by the #1 choice. I don't know of anyone I definitely see as better.

I know existing roster players get a hall pass when a coach leaves. Does the same thing apply to signed recruits?

It is customary. Can probably keep them until they get to sit down with new coach, but there isn't much to be gained from trying to hold them here.

I didn't wish for anything and honestly I think odds are ISU will be the worse with Campbell's departure. But you never know.

I do know Campbell had been here 10 years without conference championship. Maybe the next coach can do better.

I think Campbell is a good guy and wish him well but any interest I had in him just evaporated. I'll always began ISU fan first.
